After paying over $6000 to have the floors in my newly purchased dream home refinished, I came home to find footprints in the stain, chatter marks, pooled staining along our baseboards, and splotchy stain throughout. I have honestly never seen floors so poorly finished. We had the company return to fix the most egregious areas of the home but could not even bear to risk having them re-do entire rooms for fear that they make the flooring even worse. "A year ago, we had William refinish our floors; he did a great job-- also on painting! Sadly, during the year a dog became in ill an unbeknownst to us had accidents on a rug covering the newly done floors- the moisture seeped into the wood; it needed to be repaired. William did the repair for a reasonable price. Unfortunately, initially the repair didn't look good- I contacted William. He came back and agreed that it didn't come out as he'd hoped (he'd had to replace boards, re-stain and varnish the area). He came back again, re-did the work for no additional fee and it looks GORGEOUS. He showed great integrity and commitment to quality- his disappointment in the original repair was evident on his face. He is not always super quick to get back to you- but I found him to be responsive to polite persistence. He is now my "floor guy"-- we're moving and he'll be the person I call for any flooring related needs."
