"We have used Certified Pest Control for years to keep bugs and termites away from our house, and they have done a GREAT job. We just added Certified's mosquito control services, and we're very pleased. The technician arrived on time and clearly explained what he was going to do and then what he did. So far, no mosquitos! While he was at our house, I told him that we had found a roach upstairs in the past week. It's the first one I've seen in our house for years. He said that the quarterly pest control service should keep roaches away, unless we had left something open, and he asked if he could come inside to try to determine how the roach could have gotten inside. Sure enough, within minutes, he found that a chimney flue was open close to where we had found the roach. The technician closed the flue and solved the problem. We love how responsive Certified is to our needs, the expertise that they have, and the courtesy that all their personnel have shown to us."

"Our laundry room seemed to be infested with small black bugs that repeated treatments by my husband didn't help.  We sprayed inside and out and nothing slowed them down.  We then had a different pest control service come in and they also sprayed, powdered and generally covered my laundry room with poison, all to no avail.  Finally we decided to try Mid-Cities Pest Control.  They sent a very nice professional, Scott, right away and he realized that the bugs were weevils (the previous company erroneously thought something else).  He did a treatment and got them way reduced in numbers but still they weren't entirely gone.  Since they gave me a 60-day warranty, I called them to send Scott out again two weeks later.  He was like a true detective!  He figured they must have access to some sort of food source otherwise they wouldn't be in the room.  After clearing out some of our junk and carefully studying all the items we had sorted on our shelves, he found the problem!  It was an old bag of dried corn that I had kept for making bean bag projects and forgotten about.  He lifted down the bag and sure enough, the weevils had chewed through the plastic and gone to town.  No wonder a first treatment had not cured the problem.  Scott quickly disposed of the bags of old corn and treated again.  No more bugs!  Mid-Cities Pest is the best!!!  I highly recommend them to find and solve any pest problems you may have and they will do it in a courteous, timely and efficient manner.

"Critter control did an amazing job treating our house for pests. We just moved into a more rural area and wanted an indoor/outdoor bug spray that was safe for babies and pets. The women in the office worked with me to connect me to Phillip, a manager, who called me back immediately and answered all of my questions and assured me critter control would get the job done to our satisfaction. Phillip came out and explained the entire process to us, was extremely professional, courteous, and efficient. Phillip explained what our home would need in the future and also informed us of other services of which we may benefit from. We have had many companies come out and spray for pests but critter control has been our favorite by far! We will definitely be following up with them for continued services."

FAQs for bird and bat pest control service projects in Forney, TX

You're likely to find nesting birds in external areas such as your gutters, eaves, porches, and chimneys. Some birds also nest in less obvious spots, like attics or even in your ventilation systems if they gain access. A reputable pro will conduct an inspection before starting any work to check for evidence of where birds may have set up roosting or nesting sites in your home.

Leaving birds to roost and nest on your home creates significant risks that affect both your home's structure and your well-being. The constant droppings, aggressive swooping, and persistent noise can damage siding, allow moisture intrusion, and stain exterior finishes. In addition, the birds’ pecking and droppings can spread diseases and parasites, which can lead to escalating repair costs and health hazards.

Yes, humane removal is possible and ensures that birds remain unharmed during the extraction process. Experts use proven methods to safely capture and relocate both birds and their nests to secure environments. Professionals employ stainless steel spikes as a deterrent while avoiding harmful techniques such as poisons or glue traps. You can rely on trusted specialists who strictly use safe, noninjurious methods, thereby protecting the birds while resolving the nuisance.

Yes, there are legal considerations when removing birds and their nests. You must adhere to strict local and state regulations, which safeguard protected native species during nesting season. Special authorization is required to remove protected birds, their nests, or eggs under the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and the Migratory Bird Treaty Act. Observing these legal mandates avoids violations and ensures safe, responsible removal.

To prevent birds from returning after nest removal, you can implement deterrent methods. Installing stainless steel spikes creates a secure barrier that prevents birds from roosting without causing injury. In contrast, loose nets may entangle birds and other wildlife, creating additional hazards. A trusted professional will choose and install the optimal method to keep your home bird-free.

A bird’s nest remains viable for a period that depends on the species. The construction phase concludes within 2 days to 3 weeks, followed by a rearing stage lasting 2 to 10 weeks. Most birds become fully independent within 2 to 6 weeks, while certain predatory species require up to 2 1/2 months. This timeline can guide you on when it's safe to intervene.
