"I bought a really nice regency gas fireplace from South Shore Fireplace and couldn't have been happier with the way they treated me and completed the installation. They were the most attentive and considerate companies I approached which is why I went with them. We couldn't get the time of day from other fireplace stores. These guys were right on the ball from the start. Spent a lot of time going over the different stoves and options that go with them all. The installation was scheduled and went very well. Installers were very thorough and clean. This was a complete installation, needed the chimney as well as the stove. Everything was done perfectly and I couldn't be happier. Recently, the stove I picked had a recall and I was informed and updated by Scott as soon as he had news. This actually went on for a couple of months but Scott would contact me every couple of weeks and let me know what was going on. When the replacement part came in, they scheduled the work IMMEDIATELY and I met Jon, one of the senior techs and installers. Jon was on time, meticulous and thorough. Very clean and organized as you would expect a master craftsman to be. The repair went very well and made my stove run better than ever before. When your happy with a job someone does for you, you hardly ever write a review but something turns sour, people can't write one quick enough. When I need something done, I go online and read all the awful reviews of probably great companies so I do not hire them. This review is for all of you that are like me and come here to get the low down on a business. Do not hesitate to go with South Shore Fireplace. It is very hard to find craftsman who really care about what they do and also so nice to deal with. South Shore Fireplace will be my go to guys for the rest of my life. Love you guys - job well done and sincere thank you for your continued support throughout the years."

"I bought the deal a few months ago because I have numerous home improvement projects that I wanted to get done.  I was in touch with Dan over the last few months but the long winter made it difficult to have anything done until recently.  I decided to have him work on replacing some damaged siding on my house.  He came by and gave me an idea of how much it would cost and what I would need.  He asked if I could get the stock that way he could get to work and get as much done with time of the deal that I purchased.  I thought that was a good idea to save a little money by picking up the materials myself.  He quoted me a price of $200 on top of the deal I had purchased to replace a section of the siding.  I picked up the siding, some nails, and some caulk.  He came by with a helper and started work last week (3/17).  In total he worked 2 days with a helper and one other day the helper came and worked by himself.  He also found some rot in the window sill and water basin so replaced those as well.  For the three days of work, replacing the siding, sill and basin he ended up charging me $500 on top of the deal purchased (which was for 6 hours worth of labor, or 3 hours 2 guys).  Although it was more than I expected, I think it was reasonable for the amount of work that was done.  Dan was very easy to work with and seems to be very fair and honest.  I would recommend his services and would definitely use him again.

I have been doing pest control for about 6 years. I really enjoy it! Who would of thought! I have a core license, a commercial license and a wildlife license. I can handle what ever you need! I went out on my own so I could take my time at people's houses and not have 20 jobs crammed on a day! I can take my time and make people feel like they got what they paid for! Oh yeah, I can save you some money!

FAQs for bird and bat pest control service projects in Goffstown, NH

Bats slip through gaps as small as 1/4 inch, so your best defense is a thorough seal-up and a few simple habit tweaks. Start by caulking or screening every crack around chimneys, eaves, and vents. Swap dim porch bulbs for brighter LEDs or motion lights (bats dislike the glare), and consider an ultrasonic deterrent if they keep circling.

Finally, remove easy snacks—cover standing water and skip the nighttime bird-feeder refills. These steps go a long way toward keeping your home bat-free.

Standard homeowners’ insurance rarely pays for bat removal because insurers view it as routine maintenance. You might get partial help for guano cleanup or related repairs, but that varies by policy. Review your insurance policy carefully and contact your provider for a definitive explanation. Securing all entry points remains the homeowner’s responsibility to prevent future incursions.

The sweet spot for bat exclusion is late summer through spring. That window keeps you inside most state rules and protects baby bats that haven’t learned to fly yet. Removal activities are conducted when bats are less active, with some states permitting work from August through May and others ceasing removal in March. Consult a qualified bat removal specialist to confirm the valid timeframe for your area.

Spotting a dead bat can be unsettling, but a calm, careful approach keeps everyone safe. First, call your state wildlife office to report the find and ask about local rules. Snap a quick photo from a distance, then—wearing disposable gloves—place the bat in a sealed plastic bag for disposal as directed.

Wipe down nearby surfaces with disinfectant, wash your hands thoroughly, and schedule a pest-control pro to make sure no live bats (or harmful guano) remain hidden in the house.
