"I had just bought an older home in an estate sale.  Unbeknownst to me the the previous owners were heavy smokers.  This became very apparent after closing and turning up the heat.  The previous owners family had even painted a couple of rooms a few months prior to selling.  But the smoke was so bad on some areas of the ceiling and walls it started to bleed through the new paint.  I have done, and will do, lots of painting.  But I needed a lot of painting done quickly before the move - in.  So I looked around Angie's list and found AAA BR Services.  They had a promo on interior painting  at this time.  I called, got the details, and decided to hire (2) painters for a day.  Part of the deal is that you supply your own paint.  That makes total sense.  Billing details were explained (hourly wage rates per worker, etc). The verbal quote was flexible in that if the crew finished hours early you pay less in hourly labor. Fair enough.   AAA BR also lets me use their contractor account at nationally known paint store's local chain.  Both painters showed up on time, were very friendly and worked HARD.  I  asked their opinion on the various types of paints/primers I had bought to cover the the smoke bleed through.  The older of the two shared advice.  He gave the same recommendations as the staff of the paint store.  They did two (2) coats on every wall and ceiling in large eat-in kitchen, small hall and masterbedroom..  I was so happy and impressed I hired them to return in a few days with three (3) painters to do the living room, dining room and two sets of stair hallways.  I even asked for the same crew. The did the same - two coats on everything.   Both days they cleaned up everything.   The crew calls in their time spent at the job site to the office.  After all that painting I found two tiny, hard to see if standing, paint specks on the floor.  That is it.  Nothing else. Very impressive for all the work they did.  I would hire AAA BR again - and not just for painting.  I would recommend every crew member that painted at my house.
