"I interviewed several contractors for my addition and addition and I chose Andrew because I felt like he was straightforward with the project and the risks that come with a remodel of an 80 year old house along with the primary suite addition. Through the design phase, we never felt pressured to make decisions, but were kept informed of the timing of the project and when we needed to make decisions in order to schedule the project in a way that minimized the impact to our family. Andrew walked us through each item in the contract and worked with us to make changes to fit our budget and kept us informed on what we could expect for changes for a project like ours. Once we were out on contract, Andrew helped push permits through county and kept us informed on what we could expect for duration and timing of the project. Once the work began, Andrew and his right hand man Rod worked efficiently and coordinated the project beautifully to minimize the amount of time that we were displaced from our home. "I reached out to Johnson & Sons and several other contractors to discuss the possibility of opening up and completely remodeling my kitchen and bathrooms, with the addition of a shower to the former half bath off the master suite. After receiving bids and meeting with each contractor, I went with Johnson & Sons due to the transparency and consideration Vic Johnson showed when discussing the project and its challenges, as well as providing a detailed quote. Because this remodel involved the removal of walls, tiling of the kitchen/bathrooms, potential size constraints, and a re-plumbing of the house, It was very important for me that things be done correctly, to code and with permits. Once demo and construction started, things proceeded at a brisk pace with minimal lag between subcontractors, and inspections. Their tile guy, Tony was great to work with and very helpful with making the appropriate detail selections around the showers. We did have a long wait for a cosmetic piece of cabinet siding, which ended up being the final part needed to complete the project. Vic was direct with me about the issue and the delay. Such a minor issue is in my opinion, very small potatoes compared to having quality work done. Ultimately, Johnson & Sons came in slightly under their contract price - a very pleasant and welcome surprise."
