"They started in mid-October and promised to be finished 12/15. They sort of finished 1/28. They promised me that all three of them would work on my projects simultaneously and that they would get everything done quickly. Instead, there was usually just one guy working on things. The shower pan that was installed in my walk-in shower was done incorrectly so it leaked for about a month before I caught it. They did come back to fix it. The measurement of my kitchen was so off that I had to send back two cabinets and purchase another cabinet to make things right. They screwed up the shower door installation in my main bath so badly that it was unusable. That was in January. They eventually came back in April to fix the messed up tile in that shower and said they'd be back in a couple of weeks to finish things up. They didn't offer to come back until last week. By that time, I had already had all the little things and the new shower door done."

License and bonded subcontractors are used in new construction and major re-models. We offer free estimates, and prefer to work with our customers in all design work. They continuously kept us informed of what they were doing, and if something needed adjusting after it was done, they were very quick to make any requested changes. The job included removing a window, and re-sizing two others; replacing siding on the exterior and matching our existing paint; re-sizing the living room archway; replacing kitchen and bath flooring with tile; removing a bathtub, re-arranging the bathroom and adding a large shower; moving a tankless water heater from outside to inside; re-routing gas and water for the washer and dryer; installing new appliances; installing cabinets and quartz countertops. I highly recommend this company and will be hiring them again for future projects."

"I purchased a mid-century condo in the Queen Anne Neighborhood 3 years ago and had contemplated a kitchen remodel from the day I moved in… Removing a wall separating the kitchen from an expansive view of Mt Rainier, the City & the Sound was my primary motivation. My hesitation was the number of horror stories I had heard about “living through a remodel ”and how every project inevitably takes longer than estimated and cost over runs are hard to control. I had a clear vision of what I wanted but no real idea how to achieve that within a reasonable timeframe and on budget. I was referred to DP Palmer by a close friend. After meeting with Larry and reviewing the scope of the job and timeframe I was apprehensively excited to begin. From the first morning I realized that his crew of 4 were not only fast, efficient and incredibly talented but also worked together as a well-oiled machine. My existing kitchen was removed, walls & ceiling taken back to the studs in preparation for electrical and then drywalled, primed and painted and ready for cabinet installation within 10 days (with the Thanksgiving holiday in the middle!) New hardwood floors are down, new baseboards painted and in place and the painting of my entire ceiling throughout the main living area is complete. Appliances (with the exception of a back-ordered refrigerator) are in place and after countertops and backsplash were installed yesterday the final plumbing is being completed as I write this. My kitchen is spectacular and I am in a state of disbelief that this was all accomplished in the space of 37 days – in the midst of a pandemic with the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays in the middle of it all! I cannot imagine another contractor that could have accomplished the quality of work in the timeframe and on budget. I cannot recommend DP Palmer highly enough!"
