"16 months ago, All About Plumbing replaced our septic pump. They responded quickly to our first distress call at seeing the alarm light and were here in a matter of hours to diagnose the problem. The new pump was ordered and installed within a few days. Last weekend, the alarm light was on again. We called first thing Monday morning. Someone was here within hours, diagnosed the problem, ordered the parts, set up a date for repair within a week, and showed up exactly when they said they would to fix the problem. We're impressed with this company's responsiveness and professionalism. They know what they're doing, give an honest estimate with no further surprises, and get the job done in a timely manner. Very pleased with their service. Highly recommended."

"I highly, highly recommend Jerry and his crew if you have ANY water well service needs. Have relied exclusively on them for about 15 years, so I'm very delinquent in leaving a review. Their work is always high quality and they understand the urgency of getting problems resolved for those of us dependent on wells for our water. Jerry is always reachable, quick to respond to messages, and he and his crew have never failed to resolve my well issues. Got an existing well and pump system when I bought the property back in 2003. In 2005 the well started supplying two cabins after which I've had periodic issues caused by freezing weather, loss of pressure due to a broken line going to abandoned remote faucet, burned out starter switch due to instantaneous demand on the well pump from one cabin and an incorrectly plumbed check valve, sediment/iron issues, and a failing pressure tank. Regardless of the issue Jerry always knows the right remedy, resolves the issue and gets me back up and running. The last item happened this week when the pressure tank issue cropped up and we discovered my treatment systems wasn't working. They quickly resolved the tank problem as it needed replacing, and we jointly believed that the control unit on the treatments system had failed as well and needed an expensive replacement. After buying the new $500 control unit and bringing it to the well, we discovered that it was only the power adapter to the unit had failed (likely due to a short or a power surge). Rather than sticking me with an expensive new unit I didn't need, Jerry returned it and got the supplier to only charge a nominal amount for a new adapter. As you all know, it's not common for a service provider to go out of their way to keep down the cost of your repairs, but Jerry did it. And perhaps the greatest endorsement is that once his crew works on something for me, they make sure it's done right and I haven't had that problem again. Thanks again for the great service and for always being there! Sincerely, Eric Schule"

"One day our water (which was previously pristine) began to run cloudy. At the same time our water pressure became almost non-existent. A-1 (Travis Franklin) came out the same day I called. Once he looked at the white sandy sediment coming out of the taps, he suspected a cracked well casing and damage therefrom. After running a camera down the well, I could see it was obviously leaking from a large crack....which he set about repairing with specialized cement. We kicked around several options, but my attitude is get the work done one time, the right way. At 550 feet down, this was not childs play. Upon pulling up the piping and pump, said pump was completely clogged with this white muck (no wonder we had no water). Since it was already nearly 20 years old, we opted to replace it. We also had the wiring (550 ft) replaced because it had become frayed over the years and while we could have patched it....we felt it was worth the considerable expense to replace it. That done, we looked at the two water pressure tanks, both of which turned out to be completely saturated with that white sand and literally unusable (once the pressure bladder is gone, they're worthless). Next was flushing out my five bathroom houses water system (including the water heater). That white composite was in everything....what a mess. Travis replaced the tanks with slightly larger tanks and had to re-plumb a bit of the distribution system. He then flushed out all water to get the last of the sediment until our piping ran clear....refilled the house......and done. He and his helper did an outstanding job and I wholeheartedly recommend his service."

"Prompt and friendly service.  Reasonable price.  Problem fixed.  We have used this company previously and were happy with the job last time and again this time.  The company actually put in our original well 25 years ago and it is still functioning well.   <br /> They also recommended another individual to service our well -add salt  and safe chemicals to remove impurities-especially iron from the water so it does not stain out toilets or washing machine and removes the heavy iron tast from drinking water.  This individual saved us 75% over the previous vendor. <br />"

"We were totally out of water when I called Caldwell's.  They put us on priority and a crew showed up within an hour.  They were professional, friendly and totally explained everything they needed to do with an approximate estimate.  They got to work immediately and installed a new pump.  I would call Caldwell's immediately before I would call anyone else.  Excellent company and great people to work with. <br />"

FAQs for sump pump repair or replace projects in Waynesville, NC

Sump pumps last about 10 years with proper maintenance and prompt repairs. Several factors can influence your sump pump’s lifespan, such as usage, environmental conditions, and installation. Premium sump pumps with heavy-duty motors and quality components tend to last longer than lower-cost models. Pedestal sump pumps usually last longer than submersible models since they’re not constantly exposed to water.

A basement French drain is a drainage system installed in basements or around a building’s foundation to redirect water and prevent flooding. This system features a trench with a perforated pipe that catches and transports water away. These systems can crack, freeze, or clog, potentially resulting in flooding or strain on your sump pump.

You can use a sump pump in your yard to minimize pooling water and landscape damage, but it’s best used in conjunction with other drainage systems. This can include French drains, trench drains, underground downspouts, and other equipment. Proper lawn care, such as soil aeration and native plants, also aids with drainage.
