"This has been by far the best experience I’ve had on Angie’s List, and certainly the best handyman service. The day after I purchased the deal, Two by Four Construction emailed to schedule the work and ask for a list of the jobs in order of importance. A week later their workman showed up on time and went straight to work. The jobs were: 1. paint a 20 x 11 ft kitchen ceiling from beige to white 2. replace two interior door knobs. 3. install door knocker 4. replace weather stripping on front door 5. repair a hole and install curtain rod bracket 6. repair wall crack 7. replaster and sand a former patch job on wall 8. caulk bathtub 9. paint remainder of kitchen, if there is time Jobs 1-8 took about 4 hours and during the remaining time he was able to paint the rest of the kitchen with two coats and did very nice work. He had all the supplies needed and also offered to make small improvements that I didn’t think of. In addition he was polite and helpful and I could tell that he wanted to do a good job out of personal pride. I will definitely be using this company again for any work in the future."

"Lux Renovations did an excellent job in remodeling my basement. David Guimares, together with Louis Villegas, did a very timely and professional job with installing an Owens Corning basement. They were very easy and courteous to work with and provided key input when needed for HVAC considerations. They worked well with coordinating electrical work and getting required town inspections done in a timely manner. In addition, David provided good suggestions to enhance our finished basement plans prior to starting the work, including how we may be able to reroute some plumbing to enhance our celling height. We brought E T Landscaping in with a wide scope of services to include tree removal and stump grinding, weeding, mulching, aerating, and seeding work as well as putting down some gravel. Upon completion of the work, Julio advised that in order to do it properly, he would need to do some additional work that wasn't originally in scope, but that he wasn't charging us extra. We cannot overstate how much it meant that Julio wanted to do the job well vs. just checking the box. The before and after of the property was astounding and it's hard to believe how much they were able to accomplish. "KDK is a family owned local company that is totally devoted to excellence. Dave and his team were amazing and made sure that we understood what was happening every step of the way. This was a full master bathroom remodel beginning demolition to remove everything down to the bones. Dave assisted with selecting all of the required supplies - tile, vanities, tub, toilet, lights, mirrors etc but all decisions were ours to make. We used Dave’s network of suppliers for the additional work required. We needed an electrician (MRS Solutions) since we opted for a heated floor and also a separate contractor (Brown’s Glass Shop) to install the glass shower. Everyone recommended by Dave was top notch and I will use them again for any projects that requires their expertise. To sum it up, we could not have asked for a better experience and to top it off Dave and his team are extremely friendly and personable, our dogs would welcome them back each day.
