"Jim and Joe came to do the estimate. Nice guys; said it would be a three-day job. That surprised me that it would take three days to demo a wall, frame it and patch the floor, but they talked about all the prep and detail work required.
Their sons and another guy did the actual work. Similarly good guys. They banged out the demo in half a day, and were even able to get the electrician over on Day 1 to do his thing. They nearly finished the reframing that day, too.
There was an issue when they said they didn't know they were supposed to patch the floor, and that it would cost more. They had thought the replacement hardwood pieces were only for the threshold. I was a bit incredulous. Why would anyone want a 7-foot wide hole above the subfloor in their kitchen? Obviously the floor required needed to be patched. Plus, they had planned and charged for three days work. They were nearly done after one day.
I talked it through with Jim, and we agreed it was a misunderstanding of some kind. The guys did finish the job, including the floor patch, at no additional cost.
However, the floor patch was not done well. Five months later, and there are some quarter-inch gaps between flooring pieces. And the threshold-long piece of maple they put down isn't entirely flush to the floor on one end (sticks up slightly). Because the flooring gaps are in a spot that cannot be covered up with a plant or something, it will need to get fixed sooner or later.

"We recently hired US Pro Paint and Renovation, Inc. to do a remodel of our kitchen. We cannot say enough about JR and his entire team. They were professional, dependable, efficient and kept us updated every step of the way. The turnaround time for our project was quick and the finished product was beyond our expectations. We have already recommended JR and his team to friends and would highly recommend them for any project. It was a pleasure working with US Pro Paint and Renovation, Inc. and look forward to working with them in the future"

"Bob helped me out to replace old ducting for a kitchen hood vent from a smaller size to a bigger one to prepare for new larger kitchen hood that I will be installing. He went above and beyond what I was was hoping for the project including adding a thermal break, additional insulation and damper to the vent that I did not think of. He was great to work with and had great recommendations for future projects at home. I will totally work with him again in the future."

"The best remodeling experience I’ve ever had."

"As all the previous reviewers have said, DC 57 Construction is definitely a 5 star company. Lucas came to my home 3 times and helped me plan out the job. The job included: rebuilding a wood ladder to the upstairs loft, installing a railing and a new door in the loft, and adding shelves in the bathrooms. In addition, Lucas installed two railings for my back deck. Lucas and Tiago are both finish carpenters and they do excellent work at a very reasonable price. I am having Lucas come back soon to install a new screen door. Hiring Lucas and Tiago was definitely a great decision as my home looks much better."

"When we started our plan of remodeling, the first thing we did was the complete roof replacement including kitchen vent & duct pipe installation to the roof, and new installation of attic ventilation. MMP did not only completed it just as agreed but also very efficiently. The crews were friendly, professional, and careful. The jobs were carefully managed and implemented effectively. I was impressed by Matt, who is the manager, and he does an outstanding job in managing the crews and the progress of the situation, and the communication was clear and always to the point. We then moved to initiate a search for a contractor of two bathrooms remodeling after completing the roof and attic vent, MMP was one of the many candidates. Matt has had not only the best idea and proposals but also shown an impressive & professional sense of evaluating the project accurately, including the possible structural modification as well as a competitive estimate of the cost of the build. His proposal included a rebuild of a wall of the bathroom to expand another one adjacent to it. Matt accepted to use my schematic design image (made with a software tool) and a spreadsheet list of the fixtures that I created - as many as fifty items including TOTO, Grohe, American Standard, Panasonic, and IKEA - to start the job (later changed some of them due to local plumbing code compliance) After beginning the bathroom remodel project, Matt shared what jobs will be done with us timely and efficiently via text so that we feel comfortable enough in knowing what is going on while living in the house of dust & noise from remodeling. The crews, Zen and Mark, were very courteous, extensively experienced, reliable, and friendly with excellent communication, sometimes with songs of 80s rock music. They ask me when more precise specifications are needed and notified me when they feel advance notifications are required. When a change is necessary due to inspection, they informed me and clarified what and why. I have never felt uncomfortable in living together with the remodel job which has lasted over four months. The completed two bathrooms were stunning, just as I imagined. Matt, Zen, and Mark have proved their strong & thoughtful expertise and lived up with my request patiently until completion. Great job. A home remodeling project cannot be successful without having a trusted partner, and my experience with MMP has led me to be glad to share my confidence that MMP has a credential to become your reliable partner to manage a construction project together."

"As above...simply marvelous. Eduardo is extremely neat, always cleaning up when done and placed materials and tools away properly. I had originally met Eduardo three years ago when my sliding glass doors needed replacing and ceilings, closets etc. needed painting. His English, at first, was difficult but since that time, he has vastly improved along with his personal talents and experience as a professional. His carpentry skills and his inbred abilities to do most anything are outstanding. He completed work (counters, seating, flooring etc) in my daughter's Cafe in ample time and nicely done for her grand opening. He's hung closet doors, sliding doors, installed faucets, exhaust fans. He's done some plumbing, tiling, a full shower with built in seat, interior and exterior house painting, rake boards, trim, a bit of electrical work, etc. He's repaired, retaped and painted several ceilings. He has replaced all of the rotted boards hither and yon throughout my property; from the front and back porches and decks, to the shed, to the front stairs to the trim around doors, windows etc. Eduardo, most importantly, is honest and trustworthy and, I must say, most respectful...always. I would not and did not hesitate to leave my doors open when I was out. My home was open for him. He takes pride in his work and has quietly done many extra things that have surprised me so. Example; my trash barrels have been brought in for me, my garden tools or hoses have been picked up for me. Saw dust, debris, dust and dirt have all been cleaned away. He is a good person, a hard worker, and is fairly priced. I would recommend him at any time. You may speak to me personally if you wish further information. He would have my number. I truly, truly, appreciate everything that he has done for me. Work still needs doing and he diligently is working on my list: fieldstone walls that need rebuilding, smoke detectors needing replacing, attic vent fan replacement, wallpaper removal, more interior painting, some high hedge trimming, mulching, edging etc. etc. etc. He will shine at anything and everything that you need doing. "Bourke Remodeling has worked with us on several projects, the major one being a kitchen remodel and a masonry rebuild and roofing a new shed. They did a great job and we were so pleased with the entire experience. In spite of our own sometimes fickle process and requests, Erick and Tom worked with us in a cheerful, patient and expert way and with great skill to achieve the kitchen we were envisioning. The whole process was fun, enriching and resulted in a kitchen that precisely fits what we envisioned--an updated kitchen that retained its original character while making it new again. We smile every time we enter it. Thank you so much Erick and Tom for your patience and professionalism."

"Bob and his crew were extremely helpful in replacing our front door and slider. Bob was quick to respond and gave us a very fair and honest quote. He was flexible in the timing when the door we ordered was delayed. He and his team also fixed an additional problem when we realized the previous door had been leaking into our basement. Bob and his team were great to work with and we will be contacting them next time we need help with something."
