From the start of our design process through construction and follow-up, Dunbar construction demonstrated their professionalism, expertise, customer service, and true passion for their business. Ultimately, our project was completed on budget and on time (give or take a few additional days for final touch ups). The meetings with Jimmie Dunbar (owner) are very organized and efficient, including agendas sent in advance to ensure alignment on open topics/issues. Dunbar construction also partners very well with any sub-contractors needed to ensure that the same level of professionalism and work ethic is provided, regardless who is completing the work. If any questions or issues arise, Jimmie goes above and beyond to ensure they are addressed immediately, even coming by our house after hours to check on things! Not only are we extremely pleased with the final result of our kitchen and family room , but we are also excited to have found a reputable, respectable, trustworthy company to partner with again in the future. "Kevin was my sales guy and was super responsive every step of the way. We started about two-three weeks after the contract was signed which gave us enough time to shop for our vanities, light fixtures, mirrors and other finishing touches. Century City supplied everything else. A big reason I chose this company was that they do custom showers and will make whatever size shower your heart desires. Others try to sell you on stock sizes and acrylic. They also take credit card payments which proves their legitimacy. Octavio, Andrii and Tino started on time and performed the remodel over 2 weeks and 3 days. Whenever there was a barrier to completion, the three of them worked to fix/remedy quickly. For instance my piping was above ground, and they worked to re-do everything under the flooring so that everything was hidden. There were also some obstacles that they were able to overcome. I spent the most time with Octavio and he is a hard worker, extremely professional, skilled and had a positive can do attitude. Andrii did the tile work in the shower and the piping and was a perfectionist. I had a couple minor requests at the end of the major work, and Tom (my consultant) got his guys to come back within 1-2 days to fix. Overall, I highly recommend this company and commend their professionalism and high quality work. Bravo!"

"Hector and his crew can handle just about anything.. They are punctual, professional and in perpetual motion. The project that had the most impact for us was the installation of recessed lights with an on._off dimmer switch . Our living room was dark, illuminated only with table lamps. The addition of the recessed lights has made a major improvement. Most importantly, Héctor and his crew were accommodating to me as I am home bound. "We hired Brian to install custom cabinetry and remodel our den & loft area. He was very professional, knowledgeable, easy to work with. "Oscar (son) of Sacramento Serrano Landscaping and his team did not only a First Class service, they were reliable and worked my garden like I would have done it if I could! My winter lawn was spot clean, thatched, edged, the flower beds from last year cut down for new growth to spring up, and with their powerful blowers pathways and driveway were also spotless when they left. I never had such a positive experience with any Lawn Service. Oscar also comes weekly to mow the lawn. Another great team work; mow, edge, trim where the machines do not fit through and following clean up."

"Simply put, you will NOT find a better, more honest, more helpful, more easy-to-work-with, reasonably priced contractor than John Lee and his crew at J & K Home Improvement & Restoration! We had a "complicated" set of circumstances when our home was damaged by a storm, last winter. The insurance company sent out an estimator to assess the damage and, after the company recommended J & K Home Improvement & Restoration, I was introduced to John Lee. I eventually learned that John also does estimates for a variety of insurance companies (because his company is so well regarded), and he patiently listened as I described the nuances associated with our house. During our initial consultation, he was able to clearly describe all of the steps that would be necessary and answer all of our questions. Long story short, not only was John able to address EVERY single concern and request that we had regarding the eventual repairs to the house (including roof, siding, and a window upgrade that would have cost much more if we had done it at a later time), but he spent plenty of extra time making sure that everything we had talked about was addressed to our 100% satisfaction! He was also able to persuade the insurance company to cover more complete repairs than was originally specified by the first adjuster! In addition, when we had an electrical "hiccup" associated with all the pounding on the walls, John quickly sent an expert electrician to locate and correct the problem. He absolutely could have passed those charges on to us because the failure wasn't due to any mistake on the part of his crew but, instead, he picked up the unanticipated expense himself. It was truly a pleasure to work with John! He made a difficult situation as easy to manage as possible, and we would strongly recommend J & K Home Improvement & Restoration to anyone who wants to hire a quality contractor that stands behind their work and well-earned reputation!"

"Had the pleasure of partnering with Jolanta & her team for our our "mini" renovation i.e. refinishing 1200 sqft basement to include full bath, laundry room (move existing laundry from mudroom on main floor) reading nook, fireplace, entertainment area, bedroom & two separate new staircases. CONSULTAITON: Upon arrival Jolanta was prepared with taking measurements & hand drawn schematic drawings for each room; discussed options & feasibility for structural modifications/changes. DEMO DAY: the team was quick, efficient and maintained a consistent level of cleanliness upon their departure EACH DAY & throughout the project scope. COMMUNICATION: was key and I felt very comfortable working with the team on layouts, structural changes & appreciated their expertise when sometimes the answer was 'no' because of structural safety or existing ducts which could not be moved. I valued their creativity to give me the final results on my new staircase, bathroom, reading nook and laundry room (our project was tough at times because existing duct work could not be eliminated or moved). They always approached me with questions to ensure I approved any changes to layouts due to unforeseen issues. ATTENTION TO DETAIL/QUALITY: Jolanta and her team consistently demonstrated attention to details throughout the project & the quality of work was brought to life in the final results. I enjoyed doing the design & communicating with the team what my vision was for certain areas of the basement & then finally seeing it come to life! COST: Extremely competitive to say the least. Once I removed the tools inside to prepare for their work, I realized I also needed the floor replaced.
