"Epic did a 1st rate job! My 11 year-old PT Wood deck showed signs of rot. They gave me an initial estimate and we signed a contract, 60% due at signing, 40% upon completion. It included a DETAILED Scope of Work list. As work began they found more damage. Each time more damage was uncovered, they gave me an Additional Work Order, 50% due on signing, 50% due upon completion. Each AWO contained another DETAILED LIST of what was being fixed. 4 AWOs were required in all, The process took 12 calendar days (minus 3 day weekend and 1 Sunday), net 8 work days total! I paid NONE of the Upon Completion payments until the work was finished and I was happy. They followed up the next day to see if I found anything that was not done right. I gave them one item to finish, they did that within 2 days. It was a beautiful upgrade from old, stained PT wood decking to TREX! I am VERY satisfied!"

"We had been working with an architect, considering whether to remodel or start from scratch. James Wagnon, owner and founder of Historical, was very helpful during that phase with price estimates and descriptions of challenges we would face in remodeling and expanding, which convinced us appropriately that we would be better off replacing the old cabin. Everyone agreed, including the architect, once James explained all the issues. The architect’s designs were significantly beyond our price range, however, so we put the project on hold. James stayed in touch with us and told us he thought he could deliver most of what we wanted within our price range, so we started working on plans with him. He produced new plans himself which required many long conversations. He was extremely patient as we worked up all the details of the new house, also offering great advice based on his experience. He wouldn’t start work, and didn’t charge anything for all of his time on the front end, until we had negotiated a firm price on the completed house which could only be changed through a well organized and transparent change order process. Once the contract was settled, James immediately started work and delivered us a beautiful new house with 3000 square feet of heated and cooled space over 4500 feet of space under roof in 7 1/2 months. He was totally hands on, always available to discuss issues, and made changes as necessary; in every case, he was able to tell us the cost in time and money of any change we contemplated to the original plan. We really enjoyed working with James and were impressed at every turn by his organization, his work ethic, and his integrity. My wife’s only complaint about James was that he was so committed to his schedule of completion, which he met, that she felt pressure from him to meet with designers to pick out colors, cabinets, hardware, etc. He has also been thorough and committed to resolving all punch list items, which are inevitable in a project of this size. "Jason Hopson and Team did an exceptional job—-the best work quality I have experienced in 35 years and the most reasonable prices. He does what he says at the price he says period! He his the total skill set to build a house from the ground up. No one has skills like his. Nobody. I was having a heck of a time getting my back french doors rebuilt as a lot of the wood had rotted. These are custom doors. They could not be bought off the shelf. Nobody in Mobile AL had the carpentry skills to rebuild the french doors. Jason and team came down from Birmingham and did the job and now I get nothing but compliments on how beautiful they look. He also rebuilt our brick mailbox, the front porch columns, the fence, the front door, remodeled the kitchen and bathroom; replaced lighting, installed kitchen appliances, painted the interior and repaired the drywall. When hurricane Sally hit, he and hus team came back down from Birmingham to clear the huge fallen trees from my yard and roof, repair the roof, rebuilt the fence and gate, installed gutters and a french drain. Hopson and team did an outstanding job both times to the point he is now the Go To Man for any project I have. He is always on time, dependable, reliable, trustworthy and loaded with expertise. "We requested a quote on-line on a Saturday, received call on Monday and scheduled inspection for estimate on Tuesday.  The estimators were very professional, explained what would need to be done to correct the problem, and what we could expect from the work.  We were pleased with the estimate and signed contract.  Work began on Wednesday and was completed on Saturday.  The technician gave us his business card for us to call him direct if we had additional issues.  Very satisfied with the work and have already recommended this company to others.

"My parents contacted Halo to repair their front porch. James provided an estimate that was reasonable for the scope of work. The job was completed quickly and for the qouted price. After they left, my mother found that one side of the gutter was not done the way she had expected and there was also a slight leak where two sections of gutter were joined. She contacted James and he came back (the first day it was not raining) to finish out the gutter the way my parents wanted and to repair the leak. There was no additional charge for the second visit. My parents hired James again about a week later to handle some additional small repair jobs at their house and rental property. They are pleased with results.
