"Jeff and Max turned our tub shower combo into a beautiful walk in shower. They removed the cast iron tub, created a new tiled shower pan and walls and added glass shower doors. They showed up on time and cleaned up the area and down the stairs every day. They picked up our shower doors and toilet from local home improvement center for us as we don’t have a vehicle large enough. They also fixed my entrance doors to the bathroom that have never closed properly. Very pleasant to work with."

"Salesman was great. Not too pushy. We had a baby due within a month so we had to get moving. They promised they could get it done before the baby came and they pushed to get the windows in asap and got them installed with a few weeks to spare. I researched these guys through Angie's list and it was the right move. If you are debating between a couple companies be confident these guys will do a great job. We put down $1000 and financed the remaining $2000. They basically opened up a 1 yr no interest wells fargo credit card for the $2000. The installers were on time and it took 3 guys 3 hours to do 5 bedroom windows. The installers were very professional and courteous and didn't leave any mess whatsoever. They were conscious of the dust that can be created during installation and covered everything near the windows in the room with plastic. We got the least expensive windows they had and the price was a little more than I thought it would be but well worth it after all was said and done. Windows look great and had an overall great experience with this company. Do your research and you can find companies that deserve the work and wont rip you off."

"It was a difficult project. It’s one of those small houses in Nortbrook where they are predominantly have car ports instead of a garage or a garage that was converted to an extra room. It was a project with many challenges structurally as well as meeting the strict NB codes. It was more than we thought price wise but again things came up unexpectedly. Ricky is a very clever and experienced guy, fantastic. Throughout the short journey was Ivona. Ivona is very responsive and gets back to you immediately. They are so lucky to have her. "Simply put, you will NOT find a better, more honest, more helpful, more easy-to-work-with, reasonably priced contractor than John Lee and his crew at J & K Home Improvement & Restoration! We had a "complicated" set of circumstances when our home was damaged by a storm, last winter. The insurance company sent out an estimator to assess the damage and, after the company recommended J & K Home Improvement & Restoration, I was introduced to John Lee. I eventually learned that John also does estimates for a variety of insurance companies (because his company is so well regarded), and he patiently listened as I described the nuances associated with our house. During our initial consultation, he was able to clearly describe all of the steps that would be necessary and answer all of our questions. Long story short, not only was John able to address EVERY single concern and request that we had regarding the eventual repairs to the house (including roof, siding, and a window upgrade that would have cost much more if we had done it at a later time), but he spent plenty of extra time making sure that everything we had talked about was addressed to our 100% satisfaction! He was also able to persuade the insurance company to cover more complete repairs than was originally specified by the first adjuster! In addition, when we had an electrical "hiccup" associated with all the pounding on the walls, John quickly sent an expert electrician to locate and correct the problem. He absolutely could have passed those charges on to us because the failure wasn't due to any mistake on the part of his crew but, instead, he picked up the unanticipated expense himself. It was truly a pleasure to work with John! He made a difficult situation as easy to manage as possible, and we would strongly recommend J & K Home Improvement & Restoration to anyone who wants to hire a quality contractor that stands behind their work and well-earned reputation!"
