"THESE ARE THE FOLKS TO HIRE! When I contacted Ares Comfort Systems, Shawn came out right away. We talked about what I wanted and what my budget was. We have solar and I wanted to switch from natural gas heating to an electric heat pump with a gas furnace to back it up in case of an extreme and prolonged cold winter storm. Chris offered four different options for me from a top of the line electric heat pump and blower, to a simple natural gas replacement furnace (mine had just died after 25 years). I also got four different estimates from other venders including one from a friend who does this in retirement. Ares was by far and away the best price for all four different options. In fact my friend who also made a bid strongly suggested I go with Ares, and I did saving me about $3000 or about 25% (it is true!) under the other venders. Chris, Kirt, and their crew came out and performed the install in a single day. The install was not simple but they did a fantastic job with a clean install. The equipment was not the highest priced (the Cadillac of heat pumps) but it was a close second and will likely outlive me while saving me money and helping the environment at the same time. Ares gave me a bid and assured me if there were any surprises they would cover the extra cost. Who does that anymore?!? If ever I need heating or cooling equipment or work, I will absolutely go with Ares Comfort Systems. I will recommend them to friends and family alike. Do yourself a favor and call them for your heating or AC needs."

Since I can do most of my services remotely with you over the phone, I am hoping to eventually open up to larger markets and help people from having to take their computer in to get it fixed, if it has internet access, I can usually fix it over the Internet. Just trying to do more to help my Angies List customers!!******** I am a sole proprietor that works out of my home. I am my only employee, but I have over 20 years experience fixing computers, and providing superior customer service. I work on a flat rate service, and don't charge by the hour because I feel it's important to educate the customer on what the issue is/was, and how to avoid it in the future. I feel that local service companies (my competition) have been overcharging customers for years. I offer a first time customer discount of 10% but I will offer 15% off for first time customers referred by Angies List. I've lived in the Huntsville area most all my life, so I know the area very well. I will never use a subcontractor as I am very picky about making sure that if my name and company is associated with something, it will be the best experience my customer has ever had, and using sub contractors won't ensure that, so I prefer to do all the work myself. Lastly, I should point out that I am a former offensive lineman for the University of Southern Mississippi and was Brett Favre's center his freshman year at Southern. I went on to play for Tom Landry in his last year, but gave up pro football early on to pursue my passion of fixing computers. If I didn't have bills to pay, I would do this for free because I love it! If you have a computer problem, I promise you that you couldn't find a better technician that will care about you as a customer, and not about the bottom line. I am always available, but don't always answer my phone, but if you leave a message, I promise to back with you as soon as possible...and figure out how to get your issue resolved in a quick, efficient and economical manner. "Mike Murphy immediately called in response to my inquiry and stopped by the next day to assess the fact that our AC had quit. He diagnosed the problem as being a capacitor, which he replaced on the spot. I have to admit that I know little about HVAC and as a testimony to his business ethics and values, could have easily convinced me to spend thousands to replace the AC Unit, I appreciate his honesty and VERY fair price. Our AC is back in service; when the time comes to replace the unit; I will call Mike Murphy first."

"Rafael Santiago, the owner, came to look over the job and give an estimate. I like the fact that opposed to other companies, San Diego Water Damage is a small owner-operated company and Rafael is involved with all of his clients. His men, Larry and Ryan, who actually worked on the job were prompt, courteous and efficient. The first day they spent 2 1/2 hours to contain, cut the drywall, set up their machines and clean the area. The second day they came for a bit to finish the detailed cleaning (sand down and seal the studs). Soon after, I hired an independent mold inspector whose lab gave their work clearance on the first run. They promptly came and took down everything and left the area really clean. I appreciated the fact that Rafael kept the Hepa air filter machine on in the contained area for 5 days (because of the weekend and waiting for the mold inspector to test the area and for the results) without charging me extra. I hope I never have a mold problem again but I would highly recommend San Diego Water Damage to anyone else who does!"

"They were responsive and did an energy survey, which not all of firms did. I asked for advice between heat pump and air conditioning and they were thorough in response. The only negative is the salesman told me I needed an electrical outlet which I didn't and I am not sure if it was included in his charge for the service. Installation was timely and professional."

"What I didn't like, I hadn't had any other problem in my house until I had an air conditioning problem.  While, they did take care of fixing most of the stuff with the air conditioning.  I did have to pay for the coolant that went into it, that was kind of aggravating, since you  know you are already going to pay a $60-$80 service charge for something and the you turn around and think you are covered and find out there are gaps of coverage.  We'll fix the part and pay for the labor but everything else is on you.  I think outside of price all the categories are an "A".  For price I'd give it a "C", because it's not like you are getting complete coverage.  I'd use them again if I needed to, I'd definitely consider it."
