"Alex, the service technician was great. he explained and showed me the problem of the blocked frozen lines. told me what needed to be done and quoted a price. Initially I was a little disappointed since my call was directly forwarded to Zuta from Berkeley Appliance Repair without my knowledge. I questioned whether the 5* reviews were theirs or for BAP. They reassured me that they were getting all referrals from BAP in Berkeley and had me check Angie's and Yelp which confirmed Zuta's reputation. they did an excellent job and I will definitely keep their numbers for any other household repairs. It turns out that BAP is a call center only not an actual business"

"Fast & honest. My 30 yr old dishwasher was rusted out. He advised me that it was beyond repair as the entire mechanism was rusted out, did not try to sell me anything (it is 30 yrs old), turned off water to stop it from leaking again."

"Eugene repaired a broken door on a range that another appliance company had broken. He fixed it and the range works great. I recently called him for help w disconnecting the range gas line and moving it. He is professional, knowledgable and responsive."

"I have a 48" 532 Sub Zero that is 26 years old and the freezer stopped working and the refrigerator was getting warmer. the rest of the refrigerator is in pristine condition. I had two technicians come out to inspect the unit. The first charged $98.00 and told me it would be $2,200 to repair only the freezer or I should just go out and purchase a new Sub Zero at a cost of over $12,000.00. The second inspection determined the problem was only the freezer compressor and I needed a refrigerator temperature controller. However, he wouldn't do the complicated repair. I purchased the two parts he suggested and proceeded to call around for someone to replace these components and recharge the system. After speaking to 6 companies and researching 12 more that had mixed or poor reviews, only two were capable of doing the repairs. One couldn't come out for a week and my conversation with him was less than reassuring. Gus at GVC Appliance Repairs came out the very next day. He was more competitive than the others and was the most helpful on the phone. He and Greg showed up on time, verified the problem, and corrected it as they promised. They are knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. Everything is working as I hoped for and in the end I saved not only $11,000.00 for a new unit but I didn't have to extract a built in refrigerator from the kitchen. I would recommend them to anyone needing a fair and professional service performed on any of their appliances. I feel fortunate to have found them after experiencing the marketplace for this kind of repair.

"Everything went perfectly. He fixed what he came to fix and ordered parts for the other appliance, called when they came in and came to install them right in time."

"The first repair of the dryer was unsuccessful. Eric researched the problem with the factory and promptly returned and satisfactorily repaired the appliance. We were not charged for the return visit or required additional part."

"Ertan Ataly was great. He came on time to give us an estimate. He took care of the electrical issues we had, was on time and the cost was fair. He even responded a week later when I was out of town and my wife's disposal jammed (she thought it may have been the electrical outlet. It wasn't). We would highly recommend him!"

Yes, buying appliances in a bundle can save you money and reduce the cost per unit. Retailers often offer discounts when you purchase three or more appliances from the same brand together. This approach not only lowers your appliance expenses but also simplifies installation coordination, providing financial and scheduling benefits.
The best time to buy a new appliance is when your current one fails or during a renovation. Major shopping holidays like Black Friday and Labor Day offer seasonal sales with better discounts. Planning your purchase during these times helps you maximize savings and aligns with your home improvement plans.
When you buy a new appliance, many retailers will also remove and dispose of your old appliances when they come to install the new ones. To dispose of your old appliance yourself, start by safely disconnecting it. If it's no longer functional, you can recycle it. If it still operates safely, consider donating or selling it to recoup some value. Some retailers offer trade-in programs for discounts on new models. These options promote eco-friendly disposal and help reduce waste.
