"I completely remodeled our kitchen in February 2009 which included replacing all the drawer boxes and cabinet doors, re-facing cabinets with laminate wood and installing a new cooktop hood w/exhaust ducting.  After only four years of use, I noticed numerous deficiencies with the workmanship done by the original carpenter/cabinet maker.   Unfortunately, that owner and his business went bankrupt and is no longer in business.  In 2009, Angie's List didn't have very many reviews for cabin makers.  In June 2009, I again looked for a cabinet maker to tear out our tract home entertainment center and install a new, updated one.  While having crown moulding installed by an Angie's Super Service Award winning contractor, I asked if he would recommend a qualified cabinet maker.  That's when I was introduced to Arno Verberne at Amsterdam Woodworks.  I've previously written a review for Angie's List that work which can summed up as being beyond my expectations.
 
Fast forward to the repair of several kitchen cabinet repairs accomplished by Amsterdam Woodworks.  Arno's reputation and success is evident by reviews from many Angie's List subscribers.  I emailed Arno with my list of repairs and he quickly responded and set up an appointment to provide me an estimate.  I usually abide by Angie's recommendation to get three estimates.  However, having worked with Arno two previous times (entertainment center and two bathroom remodels) I knew that I was hiring the best cabinet maker who would provide me the greatest value and unsurpassed customer service!  Arno and his equally capable cabinet maker, Alejandro completed everything with exceptional attention to detail, accomplished it in one afternoon and I their work exceeded my expectations!  Whenever I need any cabinet work done, I don't need to look any further than Amsterdam Woodworks!

"We suffered break-in attempt in Fair Oaks Phoenix Field area. Alarm scared away the idiot who tried to kick-in front door. Ruined custom door jamb, cracked drywall, misaligned small window frame next to door. Front oak door itself had only scratches and a footprint on exterior face. For security reasons, we required a quick, same day repair and contacted Handyman Contractor. The contractor/carpenter recognized the difficulty in providing a complete repair for the damage to the deep/wide custom jamb in a short amount of time. He did what he could with the time frame given. However cost for materials and labor was almost 3/4 of what the subsequent and complete repair cost. Unsure if we'd use the service again.
