"It went very well. We had some exisiting cabinets moved and reinstalled, and a pantry enlarged, including new drywall, doors, flooring, and shelving. We also had a custom baking cabinet constructed and installed, and it matched our existing cabinets in stain and style."

"The company does high quality work. I recommend negotiating with MidTown to get a lower price than what they initially offer. Their initial quote was high in my opinion but we came to an agreeable price after days of discussion. The quality of their work was A+ which includes their assistance with material/color selection, countertop installation, plumbing including replacing shower valves, faucets, and toilets."

"Very pleased with all aspects of the company so far. In fact I was so impressed with their products prices that I added on an additional window and a sliding glass door to my project! They are currently producing my windows and should be installed far before real winter! And they do 90% of the instillation of the windows from the OUTSIDE...which made me feel so much more safe in this time of COVID."

"Tom and his crew did an excellent job. He listened to what I wanted accomplished and they really transformed the front of our house. The curb appeal, of the house, is so much nicer now -- it even looks much more inviting. I whole-heartedly recommend Tom and his company, Signature Landscapes & Design. I will definitely used their services again.

"It went perfect. Gary and his crew are our go to contractors for everything. They have done work on our house and landscape many times. I would trust them with everything. My kitchen pipe under the sink rusted out on New Years Eve one time. I called Gary and he was at our house and went to Home Depot just before it closed, for the parts and fixed it that night. Best Contractor ever. Very helpful and knowledgeable."

"We are very happy with the work STL Build Pro did in our home. The planning went smoothly. They were able to accommodate us by scheduling the messy demo of the plaster walls while we were out of town. Gutting bathrooms in a 110 year old house can be challenging but they were able to overcome any surprises behind the old walls and floors. We knew the layout we wanted and what we wanted to achieve to maximize space. Jason and Tony listened and executed our plan beautifully. Tony, the lead on our job was very responsive and attentive to detail. If there was something that we were not happy with they made the necessary adjustments immediately. He and the workers were always on time and completed aspects of the job when scheduled. Both Jason and Tony walked us through picking out all the fixtures, flooring, and other allowances. They were very respectful of our home, my family and our dogs."

Butcher block countertops come in three main styles, each offering a unique look and function. Flat grain, also known as face grain, showcases the natural wood patterns, giving your kitchen a modern and elegant appearance. Edge grain is made from long, narrow wood strips, making it sturdy and providing a consistent grain pattern. End grain features a checkerboard pattern that is highly durable and perfect for heavy food preparation. Each style caters to different aesthetic preferences and usage needs, enhancing your kitchen's look and functionality.
With proper care, wood countertops can last anywhere from 20 to 100 years. To keep yours looking like new, clean up spills immediately and reseal the surface regularly—ideally once a month in the first year, then twice a year after that. Regular maintenance helps preserve the wood's beauty and durability for decades.
Wood countertops aren't hard to maintain if you keep up with regular care. Simply clean them with mild soap and water after use and reseal them monthly during the first year (then twice a year afterward). Using a food-grade oil or sealant protects the wood from damage. With a bit of routine maintenance, your countertop will stay beautiful and durable.
Wood countertops are sanitary with proper care and maintenance. By sealing them with a food-grade sealant and cleaning them regularly with mild soap and water, you create a barrier that prevents bacteria from getting into the wood. Always dry the surface thoroughly after cleaning to keep it hygienic and safe for food prep.
It's best to oil raw wood countertops once a month during the first year. After that, you can oil them twice yearly to keep them in good shape. If your countertop is professionally stained or sealed, you might not need to oil it as often. Regular oiling helps prevent drying and cracking, preserving the wood's natural beauty and durability.
