"Kyle was great, and worked with us every step of the way to identify the precise need. We will certainly call MECO back in the future for electrical work that comes up in our home."

"The reason I didn t hire pacific electric was because the recommendation for an electrician from hvac guys was wrong. They didn t specialize in this kind of work but Troy was super helpful and recommend someone else who could help. Thank you."

"I have hired many electricians and Ion Electric is hands-down one of the best I have ever hired. Superb professionalism, quality of work, punctuality, cleanliness, and the staff were uniformly courteous and pleasant to talk to. I highly recommend Ion Electric."

"Their price at least $2000 less than most bids I received. Among the three comparable bids, one quit on me, one wanted cash payment in full upfront. I decided to give Jason and me a chance, and it turns out they made good on their commitment. Now job has passed inspections and I am happy."

"Bobby was professional and knowledgeable in what was needed. His scheduling met our needs and the work was done in just a few days' time. We were very satisfied with the all the work that was done. Glad we had the Angie's List discount - which kept the work in our price range. There were a few upgrades and change orders that were a little more than we anticipated, but overall we were very satisfied with all the work that was done. Would highly recommend Reputable Electric - and we'll use them again in the future if/when we have a need."

"Scott came in to check my diningroom light fixture which had begun blinking on and off and I was worried that it had a short in it. He checked the fixture for the suspected short and found there wasn't one. He replaced the light bulb and left without charging me anything. The fixture with the new lightbulb in it is working just fine now. Thanks to Scott and his wonderful work in checking everything out before coming to the proper conclusion. Love him! When I need electrical work, I will definitely call Mr. Electric!!!!"

"While on vacation in Vancouver, BC, we got word from a friend who was checking on the house that he had to put out a fire in our main electrical meter box. Needless to say, we were ready to head back home when we couldn't reach our regular electrician. We phoned 3-4 Angie's List A-rated electricians and left messages to call us ASAP (one called back; the other never did).
Finally one electrician answered and referred us to POP Electric, very close to our house. Darren, the owner, talked to us himself and had Chris, the previous owner of POP, out to our place within 2 hours. Chris checked in with our friend and us throughout the process. The problem was faulty installation by PSE, and Chris had the problem repaired in about 5 hours. He checked inside the house for other problem and even checked on our freezer.
We are grateful that POP handled the problem by phone and email with us and experted solved the problem - and that we were able to enjoy the rest of our vacation. We think the price was very reasonable - especially considering the circumstances - and plan on using POP as our go-to electrician in the future.

"Arch Electrical has wired over 50 of my houses, and they were above the grade when it came to professionalism and knowledge. On many of my sites, they have extended their permits to personally do electrical extras for my homeowners to include permanent power connections. Well, houses and septic systems without complaint. I share their contact information with all that are in need of any electrical concerns."

"I highly recommend Riteway Electrical & Construction! It was a pleasure to work with Ron Shorter, who focused attention on safety and quality. He promptly got the necessary City of Bellevue permits and arranged for the inspector to approve the work after it was done."

In some states and municipalities, licensed and registered handypersons can change a light fixture and do minor electrical work. However, you should check with your state and local licensing boards before hiring a local handyperson. In most cases, it’s safer and more practical to hire an electrician for this job. It may cost more, but hiring a licensed electrician means they’ll get the work done to code.
Special light fixtures, known as damp-rated light fixtures, are recommended in bathrooms, particularly if they're near damp areas like showers and over the bathtub. However, in most locations, they’re not a strict requirement. For safety and longevity, damp-rated fixtures are a better choice. If you work with a lighting contractor in your area, they may be able to recommend the right kinds of fixtures for your space.
Yes, it’s possible to run a second light fixture to a switch, meaning the light switch would control more than one light fixture. Several factors can impact whether it’s possible and how much it will cost. In many cases, it may be easier and more affordable for the contractor to install independent light switches. Talk to your electrician about your idea to get their feedback.
