We discovered this the first day when they drilled through it with a snake; we had them return a couple of days later with a hydrojet unit to clean it out. Our house is located in the mountains, and may not be particularly easy to get the equipment out here, but they had very little difficulty. They used a lengthy hose to go around the back of the house, then sent the nozzle through the pipe behind the trap to clear it out. I was originally concerned about navigating past the elbow joints in the pipe, and the fact that we have a septic tank that I didn't want to fill up; but neither was a problem, and the job was done in about an hour. They only had a one hour window as opposed to some other devices that have 4+ hours which they arrived as promised. Not only did a service tech arrive, but the manager as well. Both were extremely professional and assessed the problem before taking any action. They isolated it to the mainline and was able to run a commercial snake to have everything unclogged in less than an hour. Once everything was tested with the other water lines to make sure the problem was resolved they cleaned up the work area and hooked up the lines back to the washing machine.
