"Highly recommend! They were quick, fairly priced, Mark is super knowledgeable and genuine. His son Samuel ran downspouts underground and did some excavation to fix some grading in our backyard where there wasn't good drainage. Our new construction home is one step closer to looking finished! We want them to come back and do our final grading!"

Small jobs welcome
"Alan was on time, very pleasant, respectful of my property, took great care to conform to my specifications, and did a good job. He cleaned up his work site when finished. In this age of slip shod workers, he was a refreshing and welcomed contractor. Thanks, Alan!"

"From start to finish Yeet Excavating was professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. I had a few low spots in my yard where I needed graded out for the barn I wanted to build. Clay came out to my house and walked me step by step about the whole process. He was able to answer every question I had about the completion of the job. Yeet excavation finished faster than anticipated and left my yard looking amazing. I rate them 10/10."

"Very prompt and professional. Gave a decent price. Wanted to clear our backside of brushes and a few dead trees and they did a great job clearing and laying the land with mulch from the trees cut."

"Excellent job with the repair. We had an extra cost involved but I was informed prior to the start of the job that this may be the case as the job was to repair a crack in the old cast iron pipe. The extra cost was absolutely necessary and with an older home, I was expecting the worst-case scenario! Turns out the extra cost was VERY affordable! The gentleman explained in detail what was going to be done and how much the cost would be. I sincerely appreciate their honesty1"

"Bluewater Remodeling did an outstanding job on my patio! Very satisfied!"

Depth depends on the type of installation and the regulations in your area. Water supply lines typically require 24 inches, while drainage pipes are often installed 36 inches below grade. For most general projects, a depth of 12 to 24 inches and a width of about eight inches is sufficient. Sticking to these specs keeps your utilities safe, code-compliant, and easier to maintain later.
When you need to run utilities underground, you’ve got two main options: boring or trenching. Boring employs directional drilling to install utilities without exposing a continuous channel, while trenching requires excavating an open channel to place utilities securely. Directional drilling preserves landscape integrity, whereas trenching provides direct access for installation, albeit with greater surface disruption. This clear comparison helps you select the method best suited to your project.
Plan on 12 hours to dig 100 linear feet when the soil is cooperative and you can work continuously. This timeframe applies when work is performed consistently and methodically. Factors such as rocky soil, tree roots, obstructions, and frozen ground increase the overall duration, demanding extra planning and effort. Comprehensive operational planning ensures that every challenge is managed efficiently and the project is completed on schedule.
If you want your yard to look untouched, laying fresh sod over the trench is the quickest fix. New sod needs 30 to 45 days to root and blend with the rest of your lawn. A local sod pro can provide you with a firm timeline and tips to ensure the grass takes hold and maintains your curb appeal.
