"This is the third project Billy has done for us. He replaced an exterior door, replaced the trim on the deck and replaced the wood frame and cover on the crawl space window. He is reliable and completes the job as initially discussed. I will continue using him for future projects."

"Rightway Waterproofing is the company you want to come and waterproof your basement. I had initially set up a job looking for pros through Angie's List. I was contacted by Rightway Waterproofing via phone and email but did not respond as life happens. Well it rained really heavy again in August and I had more water in the basement. I reached out to them on a Friday and Albert contacted me immediately. They were able to come out on Monday to look at my property. Jake was thorough and friendly. He let me know what he thought we needed, explained everything thoroughly and gave us a quote which was completely reasonable. We accepted the bid and work was to commence on Thurs as they had an opening. Work was completed in one day. The area was kept pristine and they did an amazing job. The crew was courteous to my family. I could not recommend them more. I hope to have them out again at some point to finish my basement area as well. Try to keep in mind that during the season of covid many families are looking for ways to make more space in their homes or to have to home projects done. If you are waiting for work to be done just know that it is worth it! Thanks Rightway!!!"

"Great experience beginning to end. We had 3 contractors come out for quotes and Stable Works was a one stop shop that met all our needs (removal of old chain link fence, bushes, trees, and trumpet vines cleared, plus the install of a new vinyl fence) while the other companies would not do the removal and ground prep and not even entertain subcontracting the work out. John provided the quote and gave his recommendations. We had to get the permits (which Iâ ve never had to do with other contractors weâ ve hired), but he was upfront about that and it was a good learning experience for me. Once the permits were squared away, they started early on Monday and by the end of the day Wednesday were complete! Mike and Jonathan were the workers and did a fantastic job. They were quick to get started each morning, hard working, and answered any questions we had. I would recommend Stable Works for all your outdoor needs. They truly are a one stop shop and I look forward to getting them in for the next project."

"Saed and his team helped me with two different projects in my home, one was to remove our load bearing kitchen wall and the other was to create a vaulted ceiling in the living room by removing the ceiling joists. They handled both the permitting documentation and the construction work. They completed the work quickly and did everything they said they would. Saed and his brother are very easy-going guys, and I would highly recommend them."

FAQs for excavation projects in Pleasantville, NJ

Depth depends on the type of installation and the regulations in your area. Water supply lines typically require 24 inches, while drainage pipes are often installed 36 inches below grade. For most general projects, a depth of 12 to 24 inches and a width of about eight inches is sufficient. Sticking to these specs keeps your utilities safe, code-compliant, and easier to maintain later.

When you need to run utilities underground, you’ve got two main options: boring or trenching. Boring employs directional drilling to install utilities without exposing a continuous channel, while trenching requires excavating an open channel to place utilities securely. Directional drilling preserves landscape integrity, whereas trenching provides direct access for installation, albeit with greater surface disruption. This clear comparison helps you select the method best suited to your project.

Plan on 12 hours to dig 100 linear feet when the soil is cooperative and you can work continuously. This timeframe applies when work is performed consistently and methodically. Factors such as rocky soil, tree roots, obstructions, and frozen ground increase the overall duration, demanding extra planning and effort. Comprehensive operational planning ensures that every challenge is managed efficiently and the project is completed on schedule.

If you want your yard to look untouched, laying fresh sod over the trench is the quickest fix. New sod needs 30 to 45 days to root and blend with the rest of your lawn. A local sod pro can provide you with a firm timeline and tips to ensure the grass takes hold and maintains your curb appeal.
