"I had a great experience from start to finish. I had four different foundation companies look at the large crack in my foundation. Two said to put epoxy in it and I would be good. The third offered a slightly more involved fix that would not address the root of the problem. American Waterworks was different from the start. First of all, they book a three hour appointment so they can fully investigate, measure and explain exactly what is happening and what needs to be done to truly fix the problem. The level of knowledge and expertise shown by the the Design Specialist, Chuck, was astounding. He even predicted that there would be at least one if not two more cracks in the foundation we could not see and their location and he was right on both counts. I ended up needing 10 helical piers and 7 helical anchors to repair the foundation and stop it from rotating backwards toward the hill and to stabilize and lift the foundation back to its original position. The three man installation crew was incredible. Jose the Foreman, Luis the Co-Foreman, and Jose the Production Specialist were extremely hard working, knowledgeable and always willing to take time to answer any questions I had about the project. Their level of professionalism, courtesy and attention to detail put me at ease during such a major undertaking and I always knew my house was in good hands. "Rob was very prompt arranging an interview, was totally professional throughout. Very, very easy to work with and very responsive to questions and concerns. His crew was very polite, took great care to cover floors, and cleaned up very thoroughly after they finished. Had a leak from the utility sink after the install - foreman came an hour after I called and fixed the problem and cleaned up the water. A couple weeks later there was water again under one of the windows. Rob and his foreman came at 9:30 that night, a half hour after I called, to look at the problem, which was from the window well. The crew was back the next day, fixed the problem, and the basement has been dry ever since. I would absolutely recommend Rob and his crew and am thrilled the basement isn't wet anymore!

"It's true: working with Hal is not like working with other contractors. With Hal, you are developing a relationship, not fulfilling the terms of a contract. For some that might be more than they want out of a contractor. For me, it was exactly what I needed. Example: I was talking with Hal about another matter when we both happened to notice some rotting boards on our deck. I thought it was unsightly, but nothing serious. Hal persuaded me that, without immediate attention, the rot would spread to the joists underneath, and what was a small problem now would be a big problem later. He replaced the deck boards on time and for the price he quoted. I can now rest assured I won't be plunging through the deck this summer. Along the way, Hal fixed some off-kilter gates in our yard, and also consulted with me about some stains on our stucco (thus managing to solve a problem that had stumped several other contractors). He's always on the end of the line when I have a home repair question. He's been there for me for some five years now. There's plenty of quality workers out there, but not many who will listen as well, contribute as much, and return as often as Hal Morris."

"I met with the salesman on May 5, signed the contract on May 7 which included a June 16 start date, July 5 finish date. The start date was changed to June 30th, then July 28. Long story short, the project was finally completed December 31. There were multiple errors, delays, and poor communication. Most of the delays were due to an out of state engineer who is not very responsive, or so I was told. I am pleased with the finished product, and the cost, but the process was grueling. As time went on the communication did improve, and the workers were very nice. I've been told by the owner that many lessons were learned during my lengthy project, which should have been done in 2 1/2 weeks according to the salesman.
Follow up: it's spring 2015 and the subfloor under the linoleum is buckling, which is not surprising. It was left exposed to sitting water for months during construction due to extended delays. It was buckling after that, and all that was done was sanding the raised areas, which was not a solution based on the outcome. I'm in contact with the owner, Clint, regarding this problem and will follow up on how it is delt with. Clint came and looked at and photographed the issue, we decided to see if it gets worse, and if so, implement a repair.
Follow up 2: now that it's warm we noticed many bugs in the sunroom, and discovered that the screen guards were not installed, creating a bug freeway on every door and window, reported this to Clint, waiting now for this to be taken care of, no ETA has been given..."
