"Howard Glancy came to inspect cracks in my home's concrete walls where the foundation was sinking. He, as a Certified Field Inspector, went over the whole house with me, explaining why the walls were cracking, and what should be done to alleviate the problem. Howard explained what JES Foundation would do, approximately how long it would take, and provided a quotation for the repairs. Besides raising the problem walls and ensuring they would be structural sound and guaranteed to stay that way for the remaining life of the house, he also advised me of how JES would repair minor cracks in the remaining building as well as having s sump pump installed to wick away any ground water from damaging any other parts of the structure. Mr. Glancy was very courteous; knowledgeable of his profession; and walked us through any questions we might have had concerning the processes. Due to the permit process taking so long, the work on the house won't start for a few months, and if Mr. Glancy is any indication of the professionalism of the rest of the JES Foundation personnel, I'm confident that the work will be done properly, in a timely manner and to my complete satisfaction."

"The only thing that made me give them a 4.0 is the service rep did not let us know, when he did the inspection, that there was debris underneath where they needed to lay the cover. "In contrast to many of the other people who do this work, Thompson's has someone who answers the phone and makes an appointment for an estimate.  I was especially pleased with the thoroughness of the explanation of the work given by Mike, who did the estimate.  I especially appreciated the how he explained in detail some of the problems that might come up, for example, that my basement stairs would have to be ripped out, and that my laundry sink would probably need to be replaced.  The vendor I spoke with before tended to gloss over what the work would actually be like.  Once the work started I saw that both these things had to be done, but I really appreciated knowing about it BEFORE the work started.  The price was good so I signed up.  I was pleased with the progress of the actual job, supervised by Danny.  The crew worked long hours, were pleasant and easy to deal with,  and finished the job up quickly. 
      I was particularly impressed with the support after the job was finished.  In the process of disconnecting and reconnecting the laundry sink, the plumber took one look at the 70 year old lead drain pipe and told me that it might get cracked in the process.  He was correct!  But I was very pleased with the response.  Jeff, the general manager, sent someone out right away to bust up a big section of the cement floor to expose the cracked pipe.  The plumber came in and fixed the pipe and a few days later another Thompson's crew came out to cover the area up with fresh cement.  It all went very smoothly with no extra charge from Thompson's.   One other nice feature, by the way, is the fact that the Thompson's warranty can be transferred when you sell your house.   So the takeaway is this:  getting a channel drain installed is a messy, noisy, dusty job, but Thompson's made it a better experience than it might have been.

2.  I silently knew in advance manufacturers, quality and cost of exterior doors (including the french door), storm doors, door locks and deadbolts, leak-proof door sills for 6 inch exterior walls and a leak-proof barrier on the bottom of the door frames.  Without knowing of my preferences, Danny suggested the identical manufacturers and materials I had in mind.  At this juncture, we met and I hired Danny to perform the work.
3.  I am beyond pleased with the outcome of Danny's effort on this project.  As an example of his integrity, he asked me to trust him in the design and installation of an exterior octagonal window in a bathroom.  My wife and I were literally blown away with a handcrafted symmetrical waterproof tunnel and inside wall frame he created - more akin to an artistic piece than a window.
4. Inside work was always minimally invasive using tarps and soft shoes rather than work boots.  Outside and inside cleanup at the end of each work day was respectfully performed leaving no mess.
I would recommend Danny to anyone requiring any kind of interior or exterior installation, modification, or repair as I have seen firsthand examples of his experience, skills, and personal and business ethics.  In fact, Danny is presently working on costs to replace our roof."
