"Our project was actually a crawlspace encapsulation. We have a lake cabin that was built in the 1960's. It had a dirt floor in the crawlspace with bare block masonry foundation walls. It also had old, damp batt insulation that was falling down from the joist spaces. American Waterworks came in, removed the old insulation (a nasty job!), laid down a 2 layer moisture barrier system and spray foamed the foundation walls and rim joist area. I can't believe what a difference this has made to our air quality, much warmer floors. We used to have to wipe down the windows every morning during the winter because of condensation. Not any more! "Rob was very prompt arranging an interview, was totally professional throughout. Very, very easy to work with and very responsive to questions and concerns. His crew was very polite, took great care to cover floors, and cleaned up very thoroughly after they finished. Had a leak from the utility sink after the install - foreman came an hour after I called and fixed the problem and cleaned up the water. A couple weeks later there was water again under one of the windows. Rob and his foreman came at 9:30 that night, a half hour after I called, to look at the problem, which was from the window well. The crew was back the next day, fixed the problem, and the basement has been dry ever since. I would absolutely recommend Rob and his crew and am thrilled the basement isn't wet anymore!

After getting numerous estimates, I moved ahead with the work with All-Star Basements. Not only did they give me a great price, but they did not try to sell me many extra things I did not need. They put a waterproofing system in 3/4 of my basement and a sealed sump system that is quiet and working great! I have not had any water all summer and am very happy! Although the job itself was somewhat messy, they cleaned up very well and made sure I was happy and satisfied before they left. I was recommended them by a friend who has been a realtor for many years and he was right... great company and I have a dry basement now! My dehumidifier I had always run before now runs much less and has no problem keeping up when it does run. "When work was started to remove the crushed rock, there was standing water and a lot of mud.  The construction also took place during the very heavy rains of last June.  Tom dug out all of the crushed rock and enough soil to install a good class 5 base, followed by sand and then 7" think Versa Block pavers.  The job was excellent and came through the winter and spring in fine shape, while our neighbors experienced significant frost heaves.  Tom was punctual, took care to not damage the rest of the yard when removing all of the stone and bringing in the pavers.  The work was excellent and we have received many complements on how it looks.  We feel that we definitely got our money's worth with the job.  I would highly recommend Tom and his team.
