"I love this company! Garrett came to my home and assessed how efficient our current insulation, etc was. He was very informative and friendly — explained what we needed and how they could help. At the time, I decided to hold off and he never pushed the sale. When I was ready, he was quick to accommodate my schedule. His team: Angel, Luis, Tommy and TJ were great! They arrived early, were professional, courteous, kind, very helpful with my questions and were above and beyond to help fix things that I wasn’t even aware of. They also were more than happy to help with small problems that I had no idea how to fix. They worked quickly and cleaned up afterwards. You could tell they cared about their work which makes me feel confident that the job was done right. They were also fun to have around — my Great Dane loved them too! Garrett and Dave checked in with me during and afterwards to make sure things were going well and if I had any questions. I highly recommend Eagle Shield."

"I had called Insulation Pros for an estimate with very short notice as well as two other companies. Conrad was the second person to give me a detailed estimate also was more then pleased to come out to my house and write me a real in hand quote. He was on time and very informative on the project. The following Monday the 2 professional men came to my house and did the job that I was promised and within the time that was allotted. Cleaned up and was off to the next shortly after seeing if I was pleased with the job. These guys are awesome. I do recommend Insulation Pros to anyone thinking about getting insulation done.
Thank you and all your staff.

"We had radiant barrier insulation installed insteads of blown in insulation. It was laid in the attic rafters, upon the completion of the job the service provider could have done a better job of cleaning up. He also left some marking on our cabinet. When the gentleman came over to give us an idea of what radiant barrier is we never knew when he would be there, they gave us an estimate but then upon completion we wrote a check, but never received a receipt of payment, or work order showing completed work. All we had was the gentleman sign the estimate that we had been given two weeks prior to the job. And the installer did not have any paperwork saying that he did the job. But we had him write that on the estimate. I would expect more professional paperwork."

"They were fantastic! From Elaine who took my call to Eric who came to the house, the professionalism, courtesy, responsiveness and service I got from Diamond was top notch. On one of the hottest days of the summer when our A/C went out (naturally), they went out of their way to get to me ASAP. Then when Eric came to do the service call, he was efficient and thorough and very clear about what he was doing and why.
I couldn't recommend this company more.

"Overall, I was very satisfied.  Their estimator James H. did a thorough evaluation of my roof in damp weather (and those tiles were slippery when wet!).  He arrived promptly, worked up a detailed estimate, then sent that to me via email the next day then made a presentation in person a few days later.  I got a total of 4 bids for the roof and Brazil's was not the least expensive but was the most detailed and thorough in describing exactly what materials they would use and what they would do and how they would guarantee their work.  The were priced $2000 lower than the highest bid which used the same materials (and were about $2000 higher than the next bid which used lesser materials and gave a lesser guarantee).  Theirs was the only bid of all 4 which detailed how they would deal with our stucco where it met the roof line so that there wouldn't be future leakage problems.  They provided references who uniformly liked them and complimented the quality of their work.

They started the project exactly when they said they would and their guys were excellent.  Our roof turned out to have some dry rot, which they repaired, and some bees had entered out attic, which they helped get out by coordinating with our pest control guy.  I'm certain that the roof would have been finished on time if they hadn't been delayed by their skylight subcontractor.  That subcontractor ordered the wrong skylights then delayed installing them - that's the only reason I've given a mark-down for punctuality.

Their office people were very diligent in getting me the lien sign-offs from the various subcontractors (dry rot repair, flashings, stucco repair, and even those skylight people who delayed the project and were the last contractor to get their lien sign-off submitted).  My total costs were about $2000 more than their $19000 original estimate, but that covered dry rot repair and skylight replacement which nobody else had included in their bids, either, and seemed totally reasonable to me and not really foreseeable when doing the estimate.

I'm very happy with the quality of work and the materials and the 25 year Certainteed 5 star roofing guarantee they were able to provide (covers both materials and labor and can be transferred to the next owner of the house).  Only a limited number of contractors can offer that Certainteed guarantee from what I've read, and Brazil Quality Roofing is one in this area.

We don't usually get rain in June in Fair Oaks, California, but we got quite a bit this year and I was able to sleep soundly knowing that my family and I now have a sound roof over our heads. "

FAQs for insulation service projects in Coloma, CA

Old insulation should be removed when it shows damage, contamination, or heavy deterioration. If you notice water stains, rodent droppings, mold, or large gaps, plan on taking it out to protect your home’s energy performance and indoor air quality. Removing compromised material eliminates health hazards, cuts energy loss, and sets the stage for a safer, more efficient attic—all while keeping utility bills in check.

R-value measures how well insulation resists heat flow—the higher the number, the better it slows heat transfer. The right R-value keeps your home warmer in winter and cooler in summer, saving energy year-round. Match the rating to your climate zone and have a pro verify performance over time, because moisture or settling can lower R-value and cut efficiency.

Attic insulation can stay in place for 80 to 100 years, but its performance often drops after the first 15. As dust, moisture, or mold build up, the material loses R-value and allows heat to escape. Schedule periodic inspections so a pro can tell you when replacement makes sense—helping you keep energy bills down and indoor comfort up.

You can over-insulate an attic. Beyond the recommended R-value, extra layers don’t add efficiency and can trap moisture, leading to mold or reduced performance. A local insulation pro can measure current levels, confirm the right target for your climate, and advise on any adjustments so you avoid future energy or maintenance headaches.

Insulation can be damaged by mold, pests, water leaks, or accidental electrical contact. When the material is compromised, it loses R-value and can introduce health hazards. Removing and replacing affected sections restores efficiency, while routine inspections from a qualified pro help you catch problems early and keep your attic safe and energy-smart.
