"While cleaning my dryer vent, the serviceman asked to see the line from the dryer to the outdoors.  The line was now on the floor, and he offered to repair it for a price.  While I do not travel to the basement very often, I did not recall that the connector was on the floor.  The serviceman was very polite and quick to repair, but it was not the service that I called for.  I was not expecting to shell out additional cost for repair work that did not seem necessary prior to the visit.
