The work included installing an additional return in the family room (split level home) to return air from the lowest point in the house. The crew was knowledgable, their work was neat, and they cleaned up at the end of the day. The work was completed in 2 days and the new Carrier system works great so far. He was very thorough in his explanation of the problems and water heater systems. "Jim has a great work ethic. He explained water temperature options on my shower faucet replacement. 5 repairs including a new toilet and two small items added after the estimate done and cleaned up after in one afternoon to early evening. The price was reasonable. I hope to never need a plumber again but its great to know Jim is in business. UPDATE 12/9/2019: Did an excellent job in the spring, mainly new toilet, new shower head, replaced intake pipes to bathroom sink and kitchen sink. Cleaned up after self. Today he got the pilot light on water heater back on and improved the vent from it to the proper slope. He was not the company that installed the water heater, but when I asked him if the overflow tank was installed correctly, he pointed out the slope of vent was wrong. I did not realize the seriousness of the problem, so I did not contact the company that put in the water heater. Jim was worried about the condition and since he was there on pilot light call he fixed it at a very reasonable price. He vacuumed up his small mess and then the spots of rust from the bottom of the old heater that the other plumber left at the foot of the basement steps [the water heater installer cleaned up around heater but not the rust that dropped when he took out the old one]. I do not plan on any more improvements but if I get a new washing machine next year and it does not include install I would have Jim do it."

I had over 1000 questions, and he responded to every text, email or phone call within a 1/2 hour throughout the entire process. When hired, everything went exactly according to plan without a hitch. Bill was personally onsite two different times to assure the work was being done to my satisfaction. Installers Trevor and Kevin were right on time both days. They walked me through everything and made sure i was OK with things BEFORE installing anything. They were very professional and comfortable to work with. Although the cost was comparable to the Big Conglomerates, the distinct difference is the concern, care and accessibility you receive when dealing with Universal, all backed with an excellent service warranty. Bottom Line: If you want a professional establishment who treats you like family, and does the job correctly the first time without issue, this is the company for you."
