"My pump switch at the tank in my basement was cycling on and off every 40 seconds. The noise of the cycling switch was bothering me at bedtime and something to worry about. First called Tom on the phone and was impressed by his knowledge and experience in the well industry The 2 other companIes I also contacted did not seem to be as experienced and gave me quotes without knowing the problem with my system. I chose Able Well and Pump Service after some research and investigating the area near the well where I found wet soil and runoff below the well head. Able Well and Pump was there in a couple of days. They arrived with a back hoe and quality parts to complete the well repair which turned out to be a corroded galvanized fitting connecting the well casing to the PVC pipe that goes into the house. A stainless steel fitting and a lot of digging solved my problem. Thanks to Tom and Mike for being patient with all my questions and getting the job done. The men also adjusted the pressure in the tank and cleaned the switch contacts. Cost was reasonable for the job. I would call Able Well and Pump again without hesitation. "Upon responding to a call late in the evening (already a plus), provider arrived around the time he had offered,  Starting to look at controls technician new right away the brand and then proceed to check and test the pump.  Afer a couple of trials found that the capacitor was not working.  Luckily he had one in stock (another plus for the service) and replaced it.  While not an expert myself, not sure the cost of parts but the charge inheritly has an opportunity cost that is crucial to make repais.  Well done!

"Backyard Ponds is magic. I have a small backyard pond,stream and waterfall that have been
leaking for years. Various workmen had poured concrete into it, slathered mortar
between stones and sprayed special waterfall foam all over the sides of it. My
pond, stream and waterfall continued to leak. Hilary of Backyard Ponds looked at it for a while, moved one
stone and fixed the leak. How did you do that! I yelled. Well after you work on
enough of these things you get an eye for what the problem could be. Then she
vacuumed all the mud that had been clogging the pum , reattached the waterline
and pump that I could never get to stay together, restacked the rocks along the
edge of the stream so they actually sat on top of each other instead of sliding
down at all angles, and added a few strategically placed rocks to hide the pump
and waterline and cover the rubber sides of the stream. She added a regulator to
the water line so I could make the water run fast and slow. And more. I have had
a pond and stream for fifteen years, and many people have worked on it, from
expensive professioanl landscapers to guys I would swear the contractor picked
up off the street corner. The difference in using someone who specializes in
ponds is stunning. Backyard ponds is
magic.
