The new windows and doors work flawlessly, look fantastic, and have cut outside noise too boot. The new siding and trim work look fantastic. My only critique was the clean up on the windows and doors job could have been a lot better. Keeping in mind everyone has an off day, that won't stop me from inquiring about having my vinyl shutters replaced to match the new doors. How did I not notice think of them before?"

John was faced with challenges with the fence post removal in that they were imbedded in rather large amounts of concrete that required extra efforts (steel pry bars and winch) to remove from the ground. John disposed of the fence posts and concrete remains as well. John also removed, replaced and disposed of twelve 2x10x48" pressure treated steps. Many of the steps required special handling and additional bracing installed due to the age and condition of the existing stair stringers. After the initial installation, John was asked to re-look at a couple of the stair treads, and he returned very promptly to return and make adjustments without complaint. John also removed the remnants of two 2x8' very old (and brittle) overhead semi-transparent panels over the rear deck. He replaced with new customer-provided polycarbonate panels of the same dimensions and hauled away the old remains. He also removed and disposed of several unwanted saplings that were growing at random and completed a major trim on an overgrown euonymus bush/tree to prevent damage to house siding and allow adequate airflow to an outside air-conditioning unit."

"I have a middle of group row house rental property in the city of Baltimore. In October the Baltimore housing office inspector failed the inspection for two reasons: 1. Needed an exhaust fan installed in the bathroom of the master bedroom. 2. Said the folding doors of two closets were coming off track when the doors were opened and closed.  After the exhaust fan was installed I needed ceiling drwayll repair in the bathroom and whatever needed to be done to the two folding closet doors so they would not come off track when being opened and closed.
I do not live in Baltimore so I was looking for a contractor that would do whatever including parts and labor that was needed to resolve both issues before the housing office conducted the follow up inspection.  The first contractor wanted me to have someone pick up the products that were needed and said both folding doors needed to be replaced and wanted me to buy them and even asked the tenant if she could go to the store to pick up the doors.  I told the contractor that I could not use his services.
Before I contacted the first contractor I had thought about contacting Valazquez and Son. So I contacted them to replace the initial contractor.  Mr. Vazquez went to the property and according to the tenant was very courteous and congenial.  He fixed the ceiling dry wall in the bathroom and provided all the items needed to complet the work.  He also cut off an inch or so on the bottom of both folding doors and used itmes to secure them so they would not go off track.  I did not have to buy new doors.  This was all completed in a couple of hours.  The total charge was $250.  The next day the Baltimore housing office conducted the 2nd inspection and everything passed thanks to Mr. Valazquez so I continue to get my rent check.  For any new actions I need I will make Mr. Valazquez my first call.
