"My existing Stucco job of a large home was of high quality but one area had strange peeling. There is no one in this area who performs this trade. I went through Home Advisor and located Jean of CT Stucco in the New Haven area. He drove all the way out to Woodstock Valley, sized up the job, gave me a price and emailed me a quote a few days later. They returned when scheduled. because this home is on the side of a hill, they pipe-staged the entire back of the house, power washed and scraped away all the loose material and applied a new ground coat of cement. They applied the color and texture coat the next day. I had the old color chart from the original job and jean brought color samples and part numbers that match original job. They also repaired the window trims and decorative color bands that are a different color. consequently, they were working with three different colors at the same time with perfect cutting-in. Keep in mind, there could be a very slight difference in color shade due to exposure of the old and a possible change in the formulation of the new. I have been in and out of the construction business for many years and very familiar with this particular trade. it is fussy and precise work with no room for error or incompetence. Finding the "RIGHT" contractor in this trade is paramount, and they are few and far between. I highy reccomend Jean and CT Stucco Construction for quality masonry stucco work."

"The crews did a fine job removing worn cedar siding and installing new Everlast composite siding onto one side of my home. My issue is with the project management. The contract was written to install new siding to match the profile configuration of the remaining walls, namely 4-1/2â . On the day the crew began to install the new Everlast I had something to do in the morning and did not arrive home until after the crew had already begun to install the Everlast. The moisture barrier had been installed, which was fine, but to my shock, the siding that they were installing was 6-7/8â Everlast and not 4-1/2â . Fortunately they had only installed two courses at that point. The workers contacted the project manager and stopped work. The explanation I was given was that the warehouse sent the wrong siding (I find that unlikely. More likely the wrong siding was ordered by United). Fast forward a full week, the correct siding was delivered. Keep in mind that it was necessary to have Solar Panel electrical meters removed in order to facilitate the new siding install. During the down time I was not generating any solar electricity so time was money, in this case. When the project was originally scoped out by the on-site appraiser, I mentioned that there was an area where the plywood sheathing had rotted, due to rain getting under a carriage light. He assured me that replacing bad sheathing was all part of the job. I also mentioned this to the project manager when he came out to my home prior to work beginning. I even wrote a reminder note, with a magic marker, on the old siding at the area that needed the sheathing replaced. Well despite my best efforts, the rotted sheathing was not removed and the new siding was installed over that rotted sheathing. I knew there was a problem when I pushed against the mounting pad for the carriage light and it was wobbly. The crew had attempted to anchor the mounting pad using screws, instead of nails, but of course they were just screwing into rotted plywood. When I spoke to the project manager I told him I did not want any siding removed to address the plywood issue. I told him that I would personally attempt to correct the mounting pad problem by working from inside the garage interior wall. Per my request he agreed that United would lower the price of the job from $13,300 to $13,000 to reimburse me for my time to correct the problem. Well, my credit card was charged for the full $13,300. I left a voice mail with the project manager and asked him to correct the credit card charge. Itâ s now been two weeks and my credit card has not been credited with the $300 correction. The other day I spent about three hours fixing the mounting pad by securing it to the interior sheet rock. The new carriage light is now firmly installed. IN CONSLUSION: If you choose to go with United Home Experts I strongly recommend that you consistently keep an eye on their work during all phases of the project and do not use a credit card to pay but instead write out check(s)."

Abide was an excellent company to work with, we couldn't have been more pleased with their process and work.

A survey and estimate was done within a few days of our initial call, by a very impressive account manager.  Our plumbing contractor said he'd worked with Abide before, they were a good company and since the price seemed fair, we went ahead and contracted them. Abide coordinated the boiler removal and pipe stripping with our plumbing contractor, without our needing to be involved, which was also great.

The Abide techs were terrific, very professional and well prepared; went right to work and had a really messy job done in a day.

We also used Abide's 3rd party contractor to reinsulate the steam pipes.  I'm sorry that I can't recall his company name but he was great to work with and did an excellent job.

"Capital Construction arrived right after Christmas 2020. It was very cold when they started the job but the workers where very business oriented. Stuck to their work and finished in a couple of months. I worked with the Managers to see that the workers did everything that was put in the contract. They sided all four sides of my home. As part of a steam heat boiler replacement project, this crew cleaned/removed asbestos from the outside of the boiler, took apart the whole boiler into its sections, cleaned/removed asbestos from the inside, and then removed the whole boiler from the house.  
Documentation was provided to indicate that the removed asbestos was disposed at a licensed disposal facility and the scrap metal was recycled.
The crew of 3 performed their job, cleaned up, and then worked with the air quality technician to take the proper samples.
