"Wilber and his painting crew arrived right on time to perform the job. All work was done in a timely manner and the crew exhibited outstanding professionalism in performing the work. In addition to painting the walls, ceiling and trim in one of our bedrooms and bathroom, they patched any imperfections in the walls and nail holes before they started to paint. After all painting work was complete, Wilber personally walked through all the rooms painted with me to assure I was satisfied. I couldn't be more satisfied with the job Wilber's crew did and I would definitely hire them again, as well as recommend them to others looking for a painter."

"Matthew Pack and his crew arrived exactly on time each day they were here.  Even though they encountered 2 layers of wallpaper to be removed instead of the one they had expected, he did not raise his price.  The wallpaper removal in the dining room was well-done.   However, while the crew was preparing the walls in the dining room for painting, they used an electric sander that created a massive cloud of plaster dust.  Unfortunately, while they had coverered the furniture in the dining room, they had not put up a pastic barrier between the dining room and the adjoining living room or covered the heat registers.  Consequently, every item in the living room, including curtains, carpets, walls, furniture, knick-knacks, and all the china and crystal that had been removed from the dining room was covererd with a thick layer of plaster dust.  They offered to clean everything up for us, but that would have been a task that they weren't equipped to handle.  This left us with an enormous clean-up task that would not have been necessary if Matthew had given clear instuctions to the crew as to the hanging of plastic between rooms.  In an office area, he had to remove and reapply one wall of grasscloth, a laborious process, which he did well.  However, when the final strip of grasscloth had been applied, he dirtied it with his fingerprints trying to make it stick and fit up against the old grasscloth.  I don't think this can be cleaned.  Other problems included:  his workers left our soaking tub in the master bathroom full of the trash and residue from their clean-up after painting of the bedroom and bathroom.  I didn't notice this until they were gone.  In restrospect, I should have had them return to do the clean-up because it was a bear.  In addition, as the crew was leaving (in a bit of a rush), I had to point out to Matthew that the front porch columns needed another coat of paint because old paint and brush strokes were clearly visible.  His man did this with no compaint, and it looks great now.

I think Matthew is reliable, well-intentioned, and extremely reasonably priced.  However, I believe he needed to more carefully supervise his workers, who were more interested in finishing up the job than in doing a really thorough job.  He should have carefully examined all their work and their clean-up or lack thereof before any of them were allowed to leave the job.  I would consider using him again but only with clear guidelines as to his supervision of his workers."

"Eric, our professional painter, arrived at the appointed time and worked for the eight hours we had purchased through Angie's List. He put two coats of paint on the walls and he put three coats of paint on the stained trim. He finished the painting and very efficiently cleaned up the job site. My wife, who is an artist and who is a perfectionist, really liked the work done by Eric. He took a lot of pride in his work as a professional."

"The storm door took nearly 3 hours to put on and it's still not on right. The frame was fine. Chris came back later to do my folding doors on my towel closet, they needed shortening as carpet is thick, chris did it and put them back up problem is my son barely touch one the other night and it fell out on top of him , not sure how that happens when it's on rails? They haven't responded to me at all. I'm upset as I paid him for two other projects that never went right I gave him benefit of the doubt as he's a nice guy and normally willing to fix it but this is to much. The paint was never fixed as promised and after the sloppy bathroom remodel ( I still have area behind toilet that was never caulked/sealed) it's disappointing, they had to come back after I told them there was nothing under my tub? It kept creaking and could've cracked causing me a flood, they told me they fixed it, but its still creaking and left me with a messed up wall that was painted with a different sheen (this was after putting a hole through my wall from the bathroom job). The bathroom wasn't even painted properly it looks like my kids did it. The bathroom was nearly $5000 and paint job was $900 none of it was done properly/professionally. Especially the paint I left it so long to review as mark said they would fix it and it's taken a year and nothing. I have sent several emails asking to fix my tub and Mark keeps stating he will get to it and its been MONTHS, if the tub cracks my house will flood and it will end up being a court case."
