"Turns out our basement problem has been solved! The only plumber I called (I called ten plumbing companies that advertised 24 hours service) who really is 24 hours service came out at 10 pm last night and figured out that our new sump pump had a defective float mechanism. Great guy who used to be an intelligence analyst in the Marines. Hence the name of his company Sargent Smithâ s Drain Cleaning Services. The owner is Micah Smith. 207-432-9378. Great service and very fair pricing. All 5 star reviews on every app.It turns out the Zoeller pumps you can buy at Home Depot are not as good as the Zoeller pumps a plumber buys at a plumbing supplier that are made entirely of cast iron and have a more reliable float mechanism. Like the way Koehler makes â big box storeâ Home Depot versions of their bath products that are different and not as good. The float valve on the Zoeller we had in there was defective so it was running every 20 seconds and eventually overheating/ stopping every few hoursâ ¦ flooding our basementâ ¦ bc it was only running on the backup float which has a very short run cycle. He also put in an alarm alongside the new pump that will alert us with a smoke detector type loud beeping noise if there is an issue with water in the basement. Couldnâ t be more pleased."

Peter removed and replaced the water heater. After clean up and disposal, the bill came to 20% under the amount I had budgeted. I highly recommend this 3rd generation plumber and would hire him again in a heartbeat!"

"So I live in a older house (1947) so the plumbing is older too. Anytime I used my sink dishwasher or laundry the water would all but flood my basement making it almost unusable. I called and talked to Seth he was able to get to my home the next day and diagnose the problem my pipes in the concrete were old and clogged beyond repair well he managed to completely redo all of my plumbing brand new and have it up and running in a matter of a few hours! I now have a dry usable basement. He gave me a very decent price as well! Now hopefully I don't need another plumber anytime soon but if I do I'm calling seth at SWB!"

"We called late on a Saturday not sure what the problem with our toilet was beyond the classic “it won’t flush the water down.” Tamara was able to walk me through the troubleshooting process to determine if they were the right company to help me, in other words was my issue drain related or more of a toilet hardware/plumbing issue. Once we determined it was the drain she was able to give me an estimate and get someone to come out. Less than an hour later the technician called to let me know he was on the way. Once he arrived he did some more troubleshooting and quickly determined what was causing the issue and resolved it. There was no mess, in fact he left the bathroom cleaner than he found it.
