"I called four different plumbers. The first plumber gave me a $5,500 estimate. When I described the job to Flo-Maxx they sent someone out and gave me a $2,250 estimate which I thought was great. They explained everything thoroughly to me so I would understand what they'd be doing and I thought that was good.

"I had a slow leak/dripping valve and the main shutoff valve was original and in need of replacement as it was very old and I was afraid of breaking off the handle or it failing when needed. There was also a corroded section of galvanized pipe coming directly out of the old valve so I was worried about it potentially failing at an especially inconvenient time and being unprepared for future emergencies.
Charlie and his assistant showed up as scheduled for their appointment and completed the replacement with an improved configuration.
Charlie offered some extra observations and pieces of information and advice not all directly related to the job and answered all my questions about the plumbing work.
I was happy to be able to get this done through Charlie's as he was very pleasant to work with.

"We had several estimates from various plumbers for a somewhat complex job at our house. J & D were the only ones to correctly diagnose the problem and resolved it in one night. Not only did we completely trust them but they were total professionals in their work as well. I will also add that they were very affordable, which goes back to honesty/trust. "After buying a water heater at Menards and getting it home, I called Plumb-it Inc about 1:30 p.m on a Monday. I think it was Scott who answered (no recorder!) and he said he could have 2 guys out to our house within 45 minutes to install it. The job went so smooth. They did arrive within 45 minutes. The 2 guys were very knowledgeable about installing a heater. They were efficient, quiet, polite and cleaned up afterwards. They also took the old heater and the box the new heater came in. What more could we ask for? They did everything we expected."
