"They rehabbed an old farmhouse and and it looked beautiful. They kept the old charm intact and found material to use from the same era. I appreciated that they were constantly checking in with me to tell me what they were doing. The also updated my current home with ADA accessible doors, a walk-in tub, re-did my bathroom, and put vinyl planking down in the whole house. I would definitely recommend them!"

"Curtis Dean of LTJ Builders just completed building our new home.  We are thrilled with our house, and in particular with the quality of work of Curtis and his team.  He is a highly skilled, true craftsman. He employed only top quality sub contractors.  Curtis worked seamlessly with Bill, his right-hand man and site foreman, who is also a highly skilled craftsman.  <br /> Curtis and LTJ Builders, which his father started years ago, has a great reputation in our area.  It is clear to us now that his quality of work bears that out.   <br /> We felt he not only listened to, but truly heard, what we wanted.  He also frequently anticipated our needs - several times before we even knew we wanted or needed it. <br /> Additionally, he and Bill quickly responded to our questions or changes in the plans.  Curtis takes great pride in his work.  He built our house as if it was going to be his own home.  He and Bill were very personable and enjoyable to work with.   <br /> While we are hoping this is the last house we have built, we know if we ever need another one built, LTJ and Curtis Dean will be our only choice in contractors. <br /> Without reservation we highly recommend Curtis Dean and LTJ Builders. <br /> Don and Lynn Rash <br />"

"Taylor was great to work with. He was prompt to respond to any questions and always followed up when there were any questions on what was going to be done. We basically had the entire condo renovated and Taylor provided and managed all the required subcontractors to perform the work required. This was not an easy task as it is difficult to find contractors to come out to Westport to quote on work... Taylor got it all done and on schedule. <br /> The work we had done was: full interior painting, <br /> replacement of all counters in kitchen and bathrooms, <br /> replacement of all sinks and faucets and shower/bath hardware <br /> replacement of tub surround and shower stall, <br /> new carpeting and new tile to replace all vinyl flooring through out unit <br /> Installation of new appliances including new wiring for over stove microwave and vent system <br /> All baseboard and door trim work and door hardware <br /> One of the nicest items was the custom electric fireplace cabinet he built from scratch based on some sample pictures. It is a showpiece in the family room. <br /> In general, the work performed by Taylor and his team have transformed a worn out condo at the ocean into a beautiful brand new vacation home. <br /> There is no doubt you would be happy with Taylor as your contractor - Thanks Taylor! <br /> <br />"

"Tommy is a very polite, professional and trustworthy man to be around the outside of the home. That's very important. He always let me know when he was starting to work outside, kept us informed as to what he was working on and ultimately caught the possums under the house, fixed the problem and now the house is quiet. <br>"

"Trickett Woodworks built us an awesome built-in bookcase and cabinets for our living room which are good quality and made the room much nicer and more functional. Trickett was really responsive to all my questions via phone calls and emails, and we actually got lucky with scheduling and had the project installed a couple weeks earlier than expected. I would definitely hire them again for any other carpentry/furniture projects."

FAQs for major home repair (general contractor) projects in Aberdeen, WA

In many cases, it’s much less expensive to convert a bus than to buy an RV, especially if you’re considering a newer RV model, which can exceed $100,000.

Another huge benefit of school bus conversion is that you are in control of the renovation project. You get to pick your camper's new layout and all the appliances and furniture.

While school buses can easily cost $300,000 when they're new, you can often find used buses for just a few thousand dollars. These vehicles experience extreme depreciation due to government regulations; they can only be used for so long before they must be replaced. Due to those same regulations, other government agencies cannot purchase them for their own uses, so the consumer market is the only place they can go.

The length of time it takes to convert a bus depends on the scope of the project (and size of the bus), how much work is DIY vs. done by a professional contractor, and how much work you’re doing up front.

In general, expect at least a couple of months for a conversion, but larger conversions could take six months to a year. Remember: You can tackle projects as you go: Get the basic work done so that it’s livable, and then continue to enhance your living space over time.
