Jim (the salesman) was very easy to work with and accommodated all of our design choices. We found particular latches and handles that we wanted to use, and they agreed to install them for us. The contract process was quick and straightforward. After about six weeks, they were ready to install the fence. They sent out two crews at the same time, plus the owner Steve, who worked alongside them. With seven people working, they managed to finish the entire job in just one day! Our old wood fence was completely removed in about 15 minutes, and then they meticulously installed the new fence, setting all the posts into wet concrete and making sure all the sections were straight. At the end of the long day, when one of the locking gate latches wasn’t working right, Steve patiently worked on it until eventually we realized the part was defective, so he replaced it with a working one. A certain kind of handle had to be ordered, and as soon as it came in, he came back to install it. The fence materials are extremely high quality—the vinyl feels very thick and sturdy, unlike the kind sold at the home improvement stores. And the new fence has completely transformed the look of our property—we’ve already had several compliments from neighbors. Twenty years later five of the hundred or so vertical posts had rotted and were sagging, and I was worried they wouldn't last another winter. "I'll start this review by saying that to me, the "end result" is what counts most.  And Neale and his company produced exactly the custom look security fence I had envisioned.  This was a bit of an unusual request, because even though many people have iron bars welded over their A/C units for security, I needed two large, expensive (side by side) heat pumps protected.  Also, I felt a "security fence" would look better than just metal bars.  So here was my experience: After 1st calling and getting leaving a message with an assistant, it did take a few days but Neale called me back to set up an appointment to give an estimate.  He arrived right on time, took a look at the situation, and after a few minutes of brainstorming we were on exactly the same page in terms of design - and I liked how he sketched it out.  I also felt his quote was very reasonable (his was the 3rd estimate I had gotten).  And I don't know, there was just something about Neale, I could tell he had a *passion* for security fencing and "keeping crooks out" so to speak.  After getting my estimate in writing via email later that day, I put down my (1/3) deposit.  About a week later, after fabricating much of the fence in his shop, Neale and his team arrived and got to work fast.  I took them 2 days total, which was fine (day #1 they installed the fence posts and the concrete needed to set overnight).  Day# was most of the assembly,  welding and the paint job. Now, about 2 weeks later, I am extremely happy with the final result.  Very secure, and very sharp looking!  Even the gloss black paint job is very nice.  My neighbors have made several admiring comments over the past week also.  The only thing I could fault, if anything, would be if speed - is critical too you.Baltimore Wrought does seem like a busy company so don't be surprised if there is a week or so delay / backlog.  Also, they do prefer cash payment vs credit card.  (I did my deposit on credit card and paid the final 2/3 cash).  But  these minimal factors were not a big deal for me, because *high quality* work and to a lesser extent, total price, were all I really cared about - and these guys definitely delivered on both!

"mail.We originally contacted the contractor near the end of April since my wife and I wanted to get some stumps removed from our back yard and to replace the fence. We were also wondering if we needed to get the large spruce tree at the front of the house cut down since it was leaning and shedding alot of needles. Ben came out and gave us an estimate for removing the tree, grinding and removing the stumps in the yard, taking down the fence, and grading the sloping back yard, which is what we also wanted.
The quote we received was complete, and stated that it was good for 60 days. Well, work ramped up, and we weren't able to get fence quotes as well as a boundary survey completed until mid to late June after we came back from vacation.At that point, we had decided to leave the tree alone, since we were told it was healthy and not a danger. We also found a fence company we were comfortable working with.
Two days after the 60 days was up, I both telephoned and emailed the company with a revison of the original quote (minus the tree removal)  and said that I hoped that that quote was still good, and that we would like to get the work done within two weeks to coordinate with the fence contractor.
I didn't get any response, so I again left a voice mail.
I understand that it is a small family-owned business, but I would hope that someone would check both email and voice messages at least once a day.  Email is great, but it still doesn't beat the personal touch of a real person's voice on the phone.
I'd still like to hire them, and I know that I let time pass before deciding to hire them, but I would appreciate some contact, please.

"A SUV rolled through my fence! Left a 16 foot gap in the fence and tore up my retaining wall. Mark was very prompt, seemed pretty upfront and honest about the whole process, and gave one of the most competitive quotes so I went with him. They came out and rebuilt the missing portion of the fence in one day. It looks like good quality work to me. I am pretty happy and will probably contact them if I need work done in the future.

"It didn't go very well for me at first. The person that was doing the painting didn't do a good job. He said he didn't know he was supposed to take the nicks out of the door and fill them in with putty and then paint over them. He just painted the door and the nicks that I wanted out were still in there. That's okay, they sent someone else out and fixed it and satisfied it with me. I had asked for the repair and the guy didn't have the equipment. He said he didn't know that he was supposed to fix the door. He thought he was just supposed to paint the door, not fix the nicks all over. The wood on the door had nicks in it. Like I said, they took care of it. I'm satisfied with what they did. I called them, told them what my problem was, they sent someone else out, the guy fixed the door, and now I'm happy with it. When I called, she sent someone out the very next day."

"It was a great experience. John came out to view the patio and discuss with us the work we wanted done-- building a fence to close the back of the patio, and a small fence to hide the a/c unit, and level the brick patio. We then received an email with the estimate from Lindsay a day or two later which included the fence work and two options for the patio (re-using existing pavers or using all new pavers), and the costs for both.
We decided to reuse the existing pavers. They acquired the appropriate permits needed from the city of Rockville and got to work. The job took a little bit longer than expected, but Lindsay kept us up to date on the progress as the project moved along. There were some additional delays on account of rain, but as soon as it was dry, they were back to it.
JLI was also open and responsive to questions we had throughout, as well as correcting a few things we noticed during the process.
Overall, the fencing and the patio look great, and the open communication/responsiveness between us and JLI is something that was very valuable.
