Leading out to our sun room, we had an old slider door that we wanted to replace with new glass french doors and Colton did an outstanding job! Our older home created some challenges due to the custom sized door opening, but Colton went above and beyond to make it look great! He even took the time to create a custom threshold that transitioned the floor from tile to carpet! They cleaned up the site very well once the job was done and even vacuumed out our garage which he used as a work area. I would HIGHLY recommend Smith Remodel and Construction! "My wife and I have worked with several contractors over the past three years to remodel and refurbish the interior and exterior of our house. We’ve been fortunate in our choices of service providers and are pleased with most everyone we’ve worked with. But without doubt, one of our very best choices was Red House Remodeling who helped us plan and remodel most of our first floor. The kitchen and dining room was our biggest project, and thanks to Red House was an absolute success. We knew just what had to be done from the start; no mid-project surprises or compromises. We were impressed not only with Ben’s crew, but also with the great subcontractors they work with. And we appreciated Ben’s active management style and and oversight of the work. We always knew where the project was at and what came next. I was especially greatful for all the precautions taken for dust control and the effort made to keep the area clean throughout the construction. In the end we have a gorgeous kitchen/dining room finished on time and on budget—and most importantly, no complaints! Following the kitchen, we worked with Red House to remodel our living room, too, with similarly fantastic results. "Des Moines Area Roofing was professional, trustworthy, and demonstrated excellent attention to detail from initial contact to job completion. Cleanup was so thorough that the next day you wouldn't even know that such a major project had taken place. It has been 2 weeks since the new roofs and we haven't seen even one stray nail left behind (and they did a complete tear down to both buildings, right down to the wood). "Ivan was so helpful.  Many service providers refused to even do our job.  We had an existing egress window going through our basement wall that we wanted to have removed, have the hole enlarged, and have a set of french doors installed instead.  Ivan even picked up the door for us at Lowe's as I don't have a trailer to get it in.  He and his crew cleaned up the area well, installed the door on time, and it has held water tight in all of our rains that we have had lately.  I am very pleased.  He was excellent to work with. <br /> <br /> <br />"

"The team sent did a great job! Supplies were delivered when they said they would be and the team was here to start the job when they said they would be here. With a threat of rain, they made sure when they stopped for the night that nothing would get wet that shouldn't and they worked late to ensure any potential rain did not cause any damage. When they removed the old chimney they found the wood was rotted, and replaced it without question. It took them 3 days to complete the job, but they cleaned up as they worked each day and made sure they cleaned up before they left daily. We have found no nails or trash from the job and the house and garage look great. They also took special care of two Clematis plants I have by the garage - and as they were gifts from my sons - it is greatly appreciated. We were impressed with the professionalism, and the work ethic the team showed as well as the quality of completion."
