"Rodolfo and Adriz - did a great job at my house repairing the Sheetrock in my basement ceiling. I was very impressed by their professionalism. He was very responsive and came to take a look at the job the next day after I reached out to him. The job itself was scheduled two days later. The job was finished in 3-4 hours like he said beforehand. They cleaned up and the repaired area looks great. I would definitely hire them again."

"TBB Painting and Remodeling did a great job. The employees handling the siding replacement were very quick and efficient. The employees handing the painting were very meticulous with attention to detail. Any construction mess was completely cleaned up at the end of each day. Communication was great throughout with texts and phone calls returned in a timely manner. The cost was within my budget and I got my moneys worth. Definitely recommend them."

"Phil can do so much around the home and he is so reliable and honest. It is hard to find someone who has the breadth of skills that he has combined with enough integrity to say when it is not in his domain (major plumbing and dry wall) to do. He is great to trouble shoot your challenges and at the end of the conversation, he is so good at problem solving that he finds a way to get the work done. YES hire him!"

"I hired Mike to do some kitchen remodeling for me on a house I moved into in April of 2020. Originally, the kitchen and dining room were separated by a wall and they both had an entrance into the living room. The place for the fridge was small and cramped and next to a wall, so I could not have a double-door fridge. I asked Mike to remove the wall from the dining room into the kitchen, move the fridge into the previous area to the doorway from the kitchen to the living room and close it off, change the lights in the kitchen to be recessed can lights, create a custom pantry and fridge cabinet to match the existing 1970s cabinets, and expand the original dining room opening to be larger. All of the work was very affordable and Mike kept me updated and communicated with me through the entire process. He also suggested changes when we weren't sure and cleaned up the work area every evening. The work was completed quickly and the group was out by 5PM every workday which is so nice when you're doing a kitchen renovation since it uproots almost your entire home."

"I was seeking a professional to repair the wood on my home. I observed Don working on my neighbor's yard and obtained his contact information. I am delighted to have done so. Don executed a superb job on my residence. He took the time to explain the necessary repairs to me. Due to inclement weather, we experienced difficulty scheduling a specific day, but Don maintained professionalism and open communication with me. We eventually settled on a date, and I was extremely pleased with the outcome. Thanks again Don see you in June for more repairs😊 👍🏽👍🏽I highly recommend Don Hodges"

"We hired JMR Home Services for a basement finishing project starting around September 2025. Unfortunately, this was a very stressful experience. Communication and project management were inconsistent throughout the job, requiring significant homeowner oversight and repeated follow-up just to keep work moving. Several workmanship and finish-quality issues arose during the project, and multiple items required attention near the end. We completed a walkthrough, paid the full balance, and the county issued the Certificate of Occupancy. Despite this, remaining finish items were not completed and follow-up stopped. Closeout communication became unnecessarily confrontational despite our good-faith efforts to resolve outstanding items and bring the project to a proper close. Based on our experience, we would not recommend."

FAQs for major home repair (general contractor) projects in Acworth, GA

In many cases, it’s much less expensive to convert a bus than to buy an RV, especially if you’re considering a newer RV model, which can exceed $100,000.

Another huge benefit of school bus conversion is that you are in control of the renovation project. You get to pick your camper's new layout and all the appliances and furniture.

While school buses can easily cost $300,000 when they're new, you can often find used buses for just a few thousand dollars. These vehicles experience extreme depreciation due to government regulations; they can only be used for so long before they must be replaced. Due to those same regulations, other government agencies cannot purchase them for their own uses, so the consumer market is the only place they can go.

The length of time it takes to convert a bus depends on the scope of the project (and size of the bus), how much work is DIY vs. done by a professional contractor, and how much work you’re doing up front.

In general, expect at least a couple of months for a conversion, but larger conversions could take six months to a year. Remember: You can tackle projects as you go: Get the basic work done so that it’s livable, and then continue to enhance your living space over time.
