"Elliot and his crew showed up as scheduled. They had some difficulties with the old slab being so porous, but worked through the day to get it right. The color came out great, but the gloss layer did not last. After discussing this with Elliot, he stated it was most likely due to the very old and porous slab. Elliot and his crew came back to the house, re sanded the floor and put a thin top layer on the slab. He stained and sealed the floor with a high gloss finish. He did all this at no cost to me and the final product came out great."

"Everything went according to plan. The steps are now level. The team is very competent and have alot of experience. Mr. Pair is an expert in his field and went to great lengths to ensure that no water or sewer lines would be in the area where the work needed to be done. I was really impressed with this company. Mr. Pair's 2 sons do alot of this work and are also very knowledgeable. My project was small compared to the huge foundation issues that they deal with, both residentially and commercially. I highly recommend you call Pair Construction if there is evidence and problems with internal or external foundation issues. <br />"

FAQs for concrete injection leveling mudjacking projects in Addison, AL

Mudjacking and foam jacking differ significantly in both materials and methods. Mudjacking uses a cement-based slurry to fill voids beneath a slab, while foam jacking uses expanding polyurethane foam delivered under high pressure to achieve superior structural support. This material distinction enhances load-bearing strength and overall stability in your repair.

Mudjacking takes between one and three days to dry completely. During this time, it's important to avoid putting weight on the slab until it's fully cured. The drying time depends on the project size and environmental conditions. In contrast, polyurethane foam used in foam jacking can cure in as little as one hour.

No, mudjacking is not a permanent fix for sinking concrete. While it effectively lifts the slab and can last five to 10 years, it doesn't address underlying soil issues that may cause future sinking. For a more permanent solution, you might consider foam jacking or complete slab replacement, which can address deeper structural problems.
