"They came out to do the work with a reasonable weekend charge. The company we normally use has an outrageous fee to do work after hours. Had to add an additional overflow tank we weren't expecting to buy. The work was done in one visit, and the rep was very professional and competent."

"The lawn looks good and I'm happy with the service; however, there was a major miscommunication when the agent estimated my lawn area (by satellite photo), and their coverage is not complete.  Rather than adjust that mid-season, I've decided to allow this contract to continue and re-evaluate their service at the end of the growing season.  At that time, I'll decide whether or not to keep them, and if I want them to expand the coverage of the lawn.  I anticipate that expanded coverage will double the cost, which makes them non-competitive with another nationally-advertised lawn service. <br /> Because they use a hose to dispense liquid product, I seriously doubt that they can reach the back portions of my 3-acre property, so I may nave to resume treating that myself. <br /> One minor complaint I had was that they sprayed weed control on a rainy day.  I know from using their products for 30+ years myself that weed control must stay on the leaves for a minimum of 24 hours.  I called to complain and they re-treated the area at no additional cost to me.  The lesson here is that they will stand by their service provided you keep an eye on them. <br />"

"They were nice and professional. They brought a dump truck out. Two guys came in, they hauled the dirt out into the backyard, they put everything down, they seeded and watered, et cetera. They were very responsive on email and there was nothing negative on their part, however, I felt the price of the dirt was a little bit expensive, but it might have been the cost of the labor that I might have paid. I have a swale in the yard so the dirt is going to go away anyway. So, I would say that they didn’t do a good job."

"I know he does lawn work but he hasn't done any lawn work for me.  I liked that they incorporated from the plants I already had into landscaping to save me money.  They did a very nice design and made it in such a way where it looks really nice during all the seasons.  The plants are very seasonal so during all the seasons there is something there that looks nice.  They did very well."

"They were great. The price was even lower than we ever anticipated. We thought it would cost thousands more. We were so pleased with the work they did and because we had saved so much money, we had them come back and do additional work. We will probably have them come back next summer to do more work. The owner is friendly. When we call, they call right back. If we have questions, they call right back. He has stopped by the house when we've had concerned. He was a really nice guy. We have recommended them to a few people that asked who did our work. We didn't like what was there and we had asked them to make suggestions because we had never had any experience because we had always lived in the city. We asked for suggestions for what would look good but we told them that we didn't want to spend a fortune. He sent us colored pictures and descriptions of different items. We ended up going with all of his suggestions. He was excellent. We called a lot of places and some places wanted $15,000. He even sent a Christmas card that he actually wrote out himself, which we didn't expect. He name was Alex."

FAQs for lawn and garden sprinkler system installation projects in Akron, PA

While drip irrigation systems have higher upfront costs, they can save you money in the long run. By delivering water directly into the soil with minimal evaporation and runoff, drip irrigation systems conserve water and improve efficiency. This means better performance and results for your landscaping, and cost savings over the system's lifespan.

Yes, irrigation systems can add value to your home, especially when installed with high-quality materials and a solid design. A well-irrigated landscape enhances curb appeal and can attract potential buyers. However, poor design or installation may reduce performance and even decrease your property's value. Hiring an expert for installation and performing regular maintenance is key to securing the long-term benefits.

A local irrigation professional can help you check your drip irrigation system to make sure it's in good shape. You'll want to make sure the water pressure is in a good range, repair any leaks as soon as possible, and cover the cost to winterize your sprinkler system as recommended by your irrigation contractor.

A drip irrigation system lasts between 10 and 15 years. This lifespan is determined by the quality of materials, the precision of installation, and regular professional maintenance. Unlike traditional sprinkler systems that can last up to 50 years, the thinner piping used in drip systems is more sensitive to UV exposure and environmental wear. Proper upkeep and timely repairs enhance durability and ensure consistent irrigation performance.

Drip irrigation is best suited for plant beds, containers, greenhouses, and row crops. It supplies water directly to individual plants, ensuring precise moisture control where it is needed most. For areas with simple layouts, above-ground systems work efficiently, while subsurface installations may be cost-prohibitive in spaces with extensive tree roots or irregular terrain. Proper planning maximizes the benefits of drip irrigation across a variety of applications.
