"They did it at short notice on New Year’s Eve, Sunday night, without charging extra for emergency service. It was pricey, but I got a top of the line unit. It works great, uses less gas than my old unit, and it is supposed to last for 25 years. They also replaced my sump pump, my water level alarm, and my water shut-off valve. The owner came by a couple days later to check on everything. He upgraded the natural gas supply hose, and made a couple more improvements. This company stresses quality work and customer satisfaction."

"Steven & Dillion weâ re very professional, on time, hard working, and answered all questions. I had massive flooding in my basement and they installed a gutter system with sump pump. I am now stress free and have made a great investment for my home. Hunter was the first contact I had at Indiana Foundation, he came out and gave me an estimate and helped set up installation and financing. This is a company I believe in and they work hard and deliver great product and services. Communications with this company was easy also. Before starting the project, one of the foremanâ s/supervisors named Josh came out and answered-all my follow up questions. He was awesome too! Other than having to wait 3 weeks before installation, which I understood, because they were busy. I would actually work for this company because they have all the quality, integrity, and hard workers to complete any job. Experience & integrity matter!!!! Praise the Lord!"

"After 20 years my well pump failed. I called another company first. They cancelled their first appointment. When they finally came 10 days later the other company said the well pump alone could not be replaced and that I would need an entirely new system. I called Earl Snow and they came the following morning. They were able to replace the pump and restore water flow without replacing the entire system. I saved a lot of money with Earl Snow!"

"It was a winter installation in our garage that went relatively smoothly. After the old system was removed, everything was put in place as expected. We had trouble with a leak that took a while to fix; however, they stayed with it until it was fixed completely and watertight. Everything was completely cleaned up afterwords."

If you’ve been advised that you will need to undergo major repair to drainage systems either in the home or outside. Whether it be from a kitchen sink, overflowing culverts or swales or if municipal lines back up and wreaking chaos in your home we at WonDrain can help. Our company was started by the concept of providing a fair alternative over the industry standard of dig it up and replace. Many times using unqualified and uncaring workers, dishonest sales approaches and far inferior materials than what are being removed, Our mission is to always provide both a superior end product, but also to do so for a below average cost. By utilizing data analysis from many government and private resources combined with modern and specialized instruments we can many times obsolete the need for large and heavy equipment. Plus with our conservation minded approach we minimize surrounding damages and leave an area in better shape than it was before your problems occured. \n\n

"Kevin worked so quickly! It blew us away how fast Kevin & his team removed our old (1940's) toilet and installed the new one in our basement. He was pleasant to deal with and was able to squeeze us in on our desired day. Thank you!"

"Jamie came out, pumped our septic, and discovered the pump was fine...that it was the gloat that malfunctioned. He pumped the septic, re-wired our pump and installed new floats. I was happy with their honesty and responsiveness."

"All in all it went very well. There was a bit of a rocky start trying to get on the schedule and nailing down communication but that was due to unforeseen circumstances that were not CHR's fault.  John was nice to work with and Mike did a great job finishing the new drywall i had installed in my master bedroom/bath/closet. I hope to have John and his crew work on a few other projects down the road and i would definitely recommend CHR for your next project. Thanks again CHR!"

FAQs for sump pump or interior foundation drains installation projects in Alamo, IN

Most residential pumps draw approximately 1,300 to 2,900 watts when they first start, then settle at roughly 800 to 1,050 watts during normal operation. The exact number depends on the motor’s horsepower and how often the float switch tells the pump to run. Even at the high end, the electricity cost is minor compared with the expense of cleaning up a flooded basement.

Grab a ruler and an empty 18‑inch‑wide pit. During a steady rain, time how much the water rises in one minute. Multiply that depth (in inches) by 60 to calculate gallons per hour, then add 50% for safety. If the result tops 2,100 gallons per hour—about 35 gallons a minute—you’ll need a 3/4‑horsepower unit. Anything lower, and a 1/3- or 1/2-horsepower pump should do the trick.

Loud rattling, constant cycling, or shuddering vibrations are the pump’s way of telling you it’s on its last legs. Musty smells, higher electric bills, and visible rust are other red flags. If the unit is 10 years old or older and exhibits any of these symptoms, replace it before the next heavy rain turns your basement into a wading pool.

You don’t have to hire a licensed plumber, but you should still bring in someone who installs sump pumps for a living—whether that’s a plumber, basement‑waterproofing specialist, or experienced handyman. They know the local codes, can wire the pump safely, and will test the system before they leave. Skipping professional help might void the warranty and could leave you with a pump that fails when you need it most.

Not every basement needs a pump, but if your home sits in a floodplain, has a high water table, or has ever taken on water during a storm, a sump pump is inexpensive insurance. For basements that only struggle with condensation or the occasional damp spot, sealing cracks and improving drainage may be all that is needed.
