"I am exceptionally pleased with MRM and the work they have done for me. they replaced the sewer line and the incoming water line. all others, Alb Plumbing, Roter Rooter, TLC wanted to reline, not Replace, the sewer line for double the cost. They saved me a lot of money, that I was able to have them back the following week to replace the water heater. MRM is top notch in my book."

"Title: Exceptional, trustworthy plumbing — highly recommended Galactic Mechanical & Plumbing exceeded every expectation. After a frustrating runaround with other companies, Jordan drove up from Albuquerque to Santa Fe, waived the trip charge, and quickly diagnosed that I only needed a faucet fixture (not a full sink). He went to Home Depot, installed the new fixture, fixed a few other small issues, and left everything working — all billed fairly for one hour of labor. Jordan was professional, efficient, and honest; Megan in the office was courteous and helpful. As a longtime local with two homes, I’m already planning to use Galactic as my go-to plumber. Highly recommend them for reliable, respectful, and skilled service. Thank you, Jordan."

"Nick was fantastic. He has done several jobs for us. Replacing a broken portion of a sewer line, repairing a frozen (and broken) outdoor faucet, repaired a pipe going into our automatic sprinklers, and changed broken water lines inside the house we recently purchased. We plan to have Nick do additional work as we remodel the house. Nick responds quickly, including to emergency flooding as one of our outdoor faucets froze last winter because since we just bought the house and did not know it existed, so had not winterized it. He repaired and winterized it for us. Nick is friendly, professional, and provides excellent work and customer service at reasonable prices. "

"The crew did the job, digging up and replacing 40 ft of main water line from the city line to the house, including installation of a pressure reducing valve. Overall COST was pretty expensive for labor considering the PEX tubing for the water line was the pretty much the only parts needed minus the pressure valve. I realize they go by a book that determines cost before work is actually done, though and I agreed to it. Kinda hard to get other estimates when you are in a pickle and need water in your home going asap during the holidays. Job got done and the 2 workers were nice guys. One complaint is I asked if there was a Veteran's Discount and they did include it but it was LESS THAN a 3% discount off the subtotal. Taking a star off for this and another for high labor cost."

Customers say: Quick response

"Cool Breeze listened to what we wanted, helped us design the kitchen for maximum storage and ease of usage. They were prompt, cleaning up as they progressed. They also replaced counter tops in two bathrooms. We were very comfortable with them in our home. I would definitely recommend Cool Breeze to family and friends."

FAQs for sewer main install, replace or repair projects in Albuquerque, NM

When installing a sewer line, you should consider extra costs like tree removal, driveway repairs, or patio resurfacing. Hiring a professional plumber is essential, and you may need additional specialists if landscaping or heavy excavation is involved. Addressing these potential extras up front helps ensure accurate budgeting and prevents sudden cost overruns.

To calculate the length of sewer piping you need, measure the distance from your house to the main sewer line, adding the depth of the city main to this distance. Be sure to account for any obstacles like tree roots or utility lines that may require additional piping.

City sewer lines are installed at a lower elevation to prevent unwanted backflow and water damage. This lower positioning ensures enhanced performance and long-term safety, meeting all technical and safety standards.

With trenchless methods, a plumber inserts a smaller pipe within the existing plumbing, avoiding full excavation. It can be more cost-effective and less disruptive than traditional methods, but it's not suitable for all homes.

Yes, you must secure permission from your local water authority before connecting to a public sewer line. This approval ensures your connection meets all regulatory requirements.

Sewer lines are buried between 18 inches and 8 feet deep, with most systems placed between 18 and 30 inches. In colder regions, pipes are set deeper to remain below the frost line.
