"They took out our old countertop and installed fabricated granite tops. They are beautiful. There was a miscommunication at the beginning but it got resolved fairly quickly. The installers were very nice and personable."

"Konkus has a beautiful showroom with many different stone selections to choose from. Brendan was great is helping us selection a stone, and offered several suggestions. The measurer was efficient and exact in using his laser tools. Dave & Jake did a good job of installing."

"
Our first contact with Granite Direct was at the 2016 Spring Home & Builders Show. We left them a rough sketch with measurements and within a couple of days we received a quote. Carolyn sent us the names and addresses of their granite suppliers and we went and put together a short list of selections. This was all new to us as we've never had granite counters installed.

We received a second quote from a different company which was a little less than the Granite Direct quote. But they were very slow to respond so we felt that Granite Direct would give us better customer service. A lower quote doesn't do much for you if the customer service is sub-par.

The measurement and installation went great. The techs were prompt and professional. There is one thing I would do different, and this is totally on me and nothing to do with Granite Direct. We bought a single hole faucet and also wanted to install the soap dispenser so that would require cutting two holes. We've never had either of these before. When the tech was in taking the measurements he asked me how far apart I wanted the soap dispenser from the faucet. Instead of grabbing my faucet and getting a good idea of what it would look like installed I told him that 6 inches should be enough. Everything was installed just fine but we probably should have had an 8 inch separation.

The other thing we learned is that granite in Columbus moves fast. A slab that you see one day will be gone two days later and then you might be starting over in the selection process.

Granite Direct was great to work with. Carolyn is very friendly with a positive attitude. We would definitely use them again.

"

"We have used Countertop Surface Solutions twice and would not hesitate to use them again. Jerry, Ben, and their team are easy to work with and provide excellent communication. The custom quartz countertop solution to help us raise our existing bathroom vanity height looks amazing! And the black honed granite on our basement bar is stunning. There was a slight problem with one of the tops, but they immediately worked to make it right. We so appreciate a business who stands behind and takes pride in their work."

"We wanted to update our two bathrooms. We selected 3-4 types of materials for consideration and contacted several contractors for quotes. Benny's estimate was well within our budget and he provided several suggestions for us to consider in the way of which material to use as well as tile patterns. He ordered the materials, provided an installation schedule and adhered to it. He removed existing tile on the walls and floors, installed new drywall and subflooring as needed. He coordinated the plumbing activities for both bathrooms so we had minimal downtime. They provided excellent quality finishing touches and cleaned up after themselves."

"
The price is good but the quality is average at best. The first counter-island had three major blemishes that anyone who cared, could have seen. We didn't notice because a hazy film was applied to the surface when installed and we could not clean off for a few hours. It looked like the granite had been broken and repaired, not in a good way. We complained and waited for a serviceman to see if he could repair it. Two weeks later someone showed up and could not repair the problem. Quarry agreed to replace the island but it would be another month until the matching slab could be shipped from Cleveland to Columbus? Not sure why a 2-3 hr trip takes a month but I said OK.

Then I was concerned that it would not match so I HAD to drive to Columbus, 1.5 hours to make sure it did match. We were relieved to see that it did look the same. We tagged the slab and called Quarry to tell them it was OK. At that time, I asked for an additional 4 inches be added to the length of the Island. I spoke to Kim who said she would check with the owner and get back to me. After three days and no response, I called back and Kim said she talked to Mike(owner) who never gave a response but it should not be a problem.

I was concerned with that response so I emailed Brad our salesman throughout this whole process and he said that it would not be a problem to add the 4 inches to the island. The island arrived and installed on November 6th and they did not add the 4 inches that they agreed to add. I was very nice and calm with the process and I feel my easy nature was taken advantage of. I had a verbal and email confirmation and it just did not get done. It makes me wonder how much time is spent on any QA process at Quarry Granite.

Quarry Granite could have been a huge hero by doing what they said they would have, have a little pride in the finished product, and care what the customer thinks. The overall job matches but I take credit in making sure the slab was the same, the install employees were nice to work with but not sure who cuts the granite really cares how it looks. Many little chips all along the edge, some were repaired, some too small but you can feel them.

Quarry was the cheapest and I wish I had spent a little more and got better quality, overall I give them a C.

"

"From the first sales appointment through the installation, they were courteous, professional, respectful, and all-around awesome. The installation went quicker than planned and they left my home just as it was before they arrived. The countertops are beautiful and functional and you would never know that it was an overlay and not solid. They also tore out our old sink and installed a new one beautifully. Aside from being a small tad on the pricey side I would say that the experience could not have been better. But honestly, it was worth it for the expedience, outstanding product (beautiful and eco-friendly recycled glass), and gorgeous new look to our kitchen. I would absolutely recommend Granite Transformations.

Update: We noticed an issue a little while ago with our countertops warping. Our peninsula in particular was bowing and separating from the cabinets beneath. I called Granite Transformations and they diagnosed the problem (which I feel should have been noted before installation occurred). For whatever reason there was a missing support board under the countertop in the middle, so the weight of the new countertop was causing it to bow. Even though I was irritated that this hadn't been identified before the installation, Granite Transformations was eager to fix it for no cost and in a timely manner. We remain highly satisfied with Granite Transformations."

"I was pleased overall with the service, selection, price and quality of Modlich. They had a nice variety of slabs from which to choose, good quality and variety of stainless steel sinks, decent showroom to see samples of edges and stone. The process was pretty smooth and I was able to participate in the layout of the cuts in the slabs. This was important to me, and Charlie Dill allowed this to happen. The seams were also very logically placed, and very unnoticeable when the job was complete. We did have a slight glitch during the installation, which was handled very much to my satisfaction. One of the installers nicked the front of our brand new stainless steel refrigerator. Modlich covered the expense of repair for this in a very prompt manner."

"Soapstone is not very common, and few companies work with it. When we initially contacted Perotta, none of the local stone suppliers they recommended had any slabs in stock. However, they worked with us very hard to find a source with slabs that we liked, and gave us a very reasonable price of around $75/sq. ft.

The installers were very polite and came on time the day they were scheduled. They asked permission before driving through my yard, and took care not to leave ruts. They said they had not done many soapstone installations, but the install was quick and very high quality. They even aligned the veins in the stone along the seams between pieces.

There were some unexpected marks on the stone, because it is softer than granite, but they quickly polished those away and ended up with a very quality finish. The installers were easy to talk to and very willing to work with our specifications on sink hole placement and other minor details.

There was one fault in the installation that was not noticed until after the installers had left. When sliding the counter into place, they had caused a crack in the plastic on the other side of the wall. When I called to report this, it took them a while to call me back, but once I spoke with the owner he was very willing to make right and subtracted the cost of repairs from my bill.

They left the kitchen clean when they finished, although they did leave a bit of a mess on my back porch from dust from some additional cutting they had to do on the stone. They also rearranged some items on our back porch which had been organized, which caused a bit of annoyance.

Overall, the install look gorgeous and our one real complaint they took care of without a fuss. Would use again."
