"Lux foundation repair did a wonderful job at my home. I have 4 pipes coming into my home that had deteriorating seals around the pipe. The seals had deteriorated to the point that I had a large plastic box under the pipes so that after every rain I would collect the water that otherwise would have destroyed our finished basement. After small storms, I would collect a couple gallons, after very large storms, I would collect over 8 gallons of water in the box. I spoke to one contractor who suggested excavating the outside of the home. No small task since the pipes enter about 6’ below grade and it would have involved removing several established plants. I was surprised with the estimator from Lux informed me that they could solve the problem from inside the home. I was surprised that the estimator was very confident that he could not only fix the problem, but guarantee that it would fix the problem. The work team arrived on time, quickly did their work and left. When the next storm arrived, I checked the box….no water at all. Was it painless? Yes. Was it worth the money? Yes."

And then he was there before the work was started to make sure all of us were on the same page. They plastic sealed the work area to prevent dirt, and broom cleaned the area after they were done. "I've had four previous foundation contractors come to the house who performed inspections of the foundation and all gave different answers. Howard Glancy with JES was the first to expertly use laser measurements and moisture readings to accurately diagnose the problem. His detailed explanations of the issues matched the readings and physical signs of the problems(cracked bricks, drywall, some mold, and bowing basement wall). He certainly gained my trust where the others did not and although extremely expensive, the costs did not seem unreasonable given the work that needed to be done to properly secure and waterproof my foundation and I signed the contract with JES. Hopefully the job will be as effective and professional as the inspection."
