Small jobs welcome

"They weren't forthcoming about additional testing. Base inspection $299 then additional $400+ for lab testing. Wish I had known for vendor comparison purposes. However, I think it was worth it. Owner said the techs need to be instructed to say it was optional, but it helps you better understand the mold your dealing with. Glad I did it but not sure if it could have been done for less."

"I can?t say enough positive things about Quick Dry Restoration. We had water leaking from our kitchen ceiling (a week after bringing home our newborn daughter, no less) and David came out that afternoon to inspect the damage. He located the leak and he was actually able to fix it himself without us needing to hire a plumber.  <br /> He was able to dry out the damaged area and had our ceiling patched and repaired within the week. He even patched another section of ceiling that had had water damage with the previous homeowners and accepted homemade enchiladas as payment for this (the damaged ceiling was very close to the section he was repairing any way so I can?t promise that he would accept homemade goods for future jobs).  <br /> The entire time both David and Elizabeth were very personable and respectful. They communicated when they would arrive and how long their work would take so I could plan around my kiddos? schedules. Although I hope I never have to use their services again, I would call them in a heartbeat should any other water damage hit our house. <br />"

"CHE was recommended by my insurance company for the work provided. Large job of removing asbestos floor tiles and remediation of mold due to the ball being dropped by both my insurance company and restoration company hired by my insurance company. The estimate given my insurance company and amount invoiced were exact to the penny. The job was larger than originally estimated, and they were very busy, however I feel there could and should have been better communication with the homeowners . A 3 day job took a full week, which was no problem at all, but would have liked to have been better informed about exactly what was being done and when. Workers showed up on time as scheduled, but unfortunately, we were never quite sure when they were scheduled. That said, the basement in our 50+ year old home looks almost like new. The crew working was VERY courteous and left the place very clean and tidy when the work was finally finished. Quality of work was an A+, the only thing bringing down the total grade was the communication. Nobody likes a knock on the door early on a Sunday morning with no warning. We could have made arrangements to be out of their way had we only known they were coming to work on Sunday. The crew on site were more than understanding about these issues and were completely professional. A+ to the crew doing the job. <br>"

"PuroClean showed up and began immediately to dry the damage floors. They also worked with our insurance company helping them understand the damage caused by the leak in a very short time, like less than a week. They were professional and provided Value for the their work including drying the damp areas from below the floor and above removing the possibility of a mold issue."

FAQs for mold & toxic material test projects in Alma, CO

Some companies offer a no‑cost phone or video consultation that screens for red flags. If the discussion points to a real issue, the pro will recommend a paid on‑site inspection. The complimentary call clarifies whether you need full testing, but it isn’t a substitute for samples, lab work, or a written report. Always confirm what the free service covers before you schedule.

A standard inspection, which includes basic air and surface samples, takes an average of two hours. If the pro needs to probe hidden spaces, such as wall cavities or ductwork, plan on up to six hours. Extra time allows the inspector to reach tight areas, collect additional samples, and document findings. Lab analysis is a separate process and often adds several business days to the overall timeframe before you receive the full report.

Mold thrives where moisture lingers and air flow is poor. Common hotspots include bathroom walls, kitchen backsplashes, window sills, HVAC vents, fireplaces, crawl spaces, and enclosed attics. Check these areas regularly—especially after leaks or high‑humidity weather—to catch growth early and avoid costly repairs.

Unchecked mold can knock 20% to 37% off a home’s market value because buyers worry about hidden damage and health risks. Even after remediation, visible staining or a history of major moisture issues can still lower offers and prolong the time on the market. Addressing mold quickly protects both your property’s structural integrity and its resale appeal.
