"Dontae is my new appliance guy for life. He does fast great work, and is very reasonable with his prices. Most of all He's honest and will let you know if your appliance is worth fixing or getting something new. Most people would just take your money and go. But if you're looking for someone reliable call In & Out Appliance Repair, you won't be disappointed."

"They called within 5 minutes of sending my info thru Home Advisor. They were at my house on the north shore within 1 hour of that call and made the repair. Unfortunately the part they replace was defective. But they made it right the next day without issue. I won't even hunt for an appliance repair place again. I will just call Romero's."

"I see this company has not had a review in a while. my guess is that is because they go beyond if necessary to get the job done and done right. In my case the repairman called me back in a short time and came over in a few hours with the parts to repair my appliances. The disposal was repaired in a short time. However, the new motor for the dishwasher was broken. He reassured me he would order a new motor ASAP. He did and when he received it there were missing parts. At that point thru no fault of ABBA, I decided my 4 yr old top of the line Kenmore dishwasher was as mistake. Bought a Kitchenaid not so top of the line and installed it myself. So far so good. Thanks ABBA."

"I called late on a Friday afternoon after my air went out. They came after hours, installed the new unit, and took the old one for evaluation & possible repair. A year later I called them back for another ac problem (different unit), and they came same day. Whereas another contractor told me to junk the unit, Greg replaced a small part & all was well. While with me the second trip, I mentioned several other small jobs, and they got right on them! The vent hood took a trip into the attic and up onto the roof, but they figured out the problem and solved it. This hood was damaged during Katrina (12 years ago) & Ive had several companies out to look/repair and nobody was able to diagnose problem. Now I have my hood back! Repaired two ceiling fans that I'd been told to junk, repaired a pendant light wired incorrectly by another contractor, and even replaced some light bulbs in my 12-foot ceiling-ed rooms! Excellent service, very fair pricing, good responsiveness, and just all-around nicefolks. I HIGHLY recommend!"

FAQs for appliance (major electric appliance) installation and replacement projects in Ama, LA

A pro starts by setting the units in place and connecting them to the right plumbing lines, electrical circuits, and, for the dryer, a vent. If the hookups already exist, the job is quick. When they don’t, the installer must add plumbing, outlets, or a vent run, which takes more time and increases the price, especially when the laundry area is located far from existing utilities.

You’ll need the right pros for a tight stacked setup. A natural-gas plumber handles the water lines, drain, and any gas work, while an electrician installs the circuit the dryer needs. If venting or framing changes are required, hire a general contractor to patch the drywall or adjust the framing so that everything meets code and operates safely.

Permanent models need complete plumbing, electrical, and—for dryers—vent hookups. Portable units skip most of that and can run on a standard outlet with a temporary water connection. If your home already has a code-approved hookup, you just connect the new appliances. If not, hire a licensed pro to add the lines and vent so the machines run safely and efficiently.

Relocating a hookup costs between $500 and $5,000, as it may involve installing new outlets, gas lines, vents, and drain pipes. The price increases when the new location is far from existing utilities or requires additional framing and drywall work. Have licensed professionals evaluate your layout, provide a quote for the move, and handle the installation so that every component meets code and works safely.
