"Of course plumbing problems are like medical emergencies. They only happen on weekends and holidays! LOL My daughter was staying with me and she came to my room in the middle of the night to tell me there was water all over the floor in the downstairs bathroom. We waited until about 8 a.m. then called Eric. He said he was on his way to Provo for an emergency, but would be to my house by 10. At about 9:45 he called and said he was on his way. When I opened the door, I saw a young man, nicely dressed and very professional. He came in, assessed the problem and went back out to his truck. He brought in the drain cleaning machine and broke up the clog in no time at all. Yay! methinks. He was able to take my credit card and off he went on another call. I proceeded to start a batch of laundry and, OH NO! the drain back up again. I texted Eric back and he was at my house in minutes. He explained that sometimes the clog is so thick, it collapses back on itself. He recleaned the drain and suggested some remedies I could try to keep it from happening again. I am very impressed with Eric and his business practices. I would highly recommend him to anyone.

"21 years ago, Superior installed a water softener system that served a family of 8 over that period. The system easily outlived its life expectancy. "Although the service provider was very prompt in both communication and arrival and the work was done as outlined, the pricing on a per/hour basis is ridiculous. I priced out the three parts used which at retail would not exceed $150. The time to perform the three repairs took the plumber 1.5 hrs. That’s $600 for 1.5 hours of work or $400/hr.!

Being in the residential trade business myself, charging my clients a fair hourly rate plus materials has kept me in business for over 17 years. 

Had I been able to find an available, independent plumber, charging a reasonable $120-$150/hr rate, my bill would have been around $375.

I will keep looking for that trusted, independent plumber - not one of these larger companies that employ multiple people, pay for expensive advertising and a fleet of trucks!"
