"This team did excellent work on an unexpectedly challenging project. We had a new slate tile installation done previously that needed sealing and a vintage slate tile area needing cleaned and resealed. This team recognized the previous installers mistakes and fixed the poor grouting and sealed the area. It looks fantastic. The original to the home time, dating to 1968, was cleaned. Then it was discovered that it was not grouted with convential grout but was instead cement. Rather than giving up, the team went above and beyond and ground out the cement. This was tedious work and required delicate handling to not disrupt or damage the vintage slate. They worked at it for days, often with hand tools in delicate areas. They then completed the new grouting and sealing. At the end of the project they intended to keep to the original quote despite all the extra work! It was so well done I insisted on paying them above that for a fair deal. Hire this team for everything."

"I got several quotes from companies that specialize in pergolas. I wanted something that was contemporary while keeping cost and quality in mind. I also wanted to customize a few things to allow for limited sun exposure without having a full cover on top as our yard faces West. I worked with Tony who is a sales rep for the company. He wasn’t pushy and came prepared to walk me through their offerings. We exchanged several texts and calls as I kept coming up with mind blowing ideas every hour (ok maybe I was just crazy). Regardless, he was attentive and addressed every suggestion. The village took about 2 months to approve my permit due to Covid and limited resources and it was finally time for the install. Levi was our installer. If I owned this company, Levi is who I’d want working for me. He treated us as if he owned the company himself and was very attentive to me pointing out things before he was even done with the job. He assured me everything will be fine once the pergola is up, things are sealed and a final coat of paint is applied. He was absolutely correct. There were some issues that I addressed and Levi did everything in his control to make things the way we wanted. The wood comes from the mill and the two boards in the front of our pergola were not aligned as they were/are different in size by about a half inch. The two boards meet in the middle of our pergola as it’s about 28ft wide. He shaved off where the boards meet and made it look as seamless as possible. The wood from the mill is also very rough and while it gives it a rustic look it can cause splinters if somebody was to rub against it. The only thing I wish I knew ahead of time was how the wood felt. We may get it sanded down in the future as we have a basketball court attached to our patio and kids may run into the wood. As of now it looks great and we’re just waiting on some touch up paint or paint codes so we can go and buy paint from Sherwin Williams. I highly recommend working with this company."

Federal Windows was the 3rd company I called for an estimate and Garry was straight forward and honest with me and answered all my questions. The night before work was scheduled to begin, I realized I had not asked what I should do to get ready for the guys to start work the next morning. They showed up right on time, were very careful to place tarps on the floors. They were courteous, very quiet, and didn't leave a trace of dirt or mess. "It's a difficult area to control rainwater because of the size of the parking area.  They installed rip rap, edging and a drain to control the flow of water down a slope at the side of the garden.  This is an effective drain. In very heavy rain, there is still alot of water pouring through the drain, but Eathwood has relliably continued to monitor the area, and make improvements as needed.
