"I would not hesitate to recommend D& M Repair to anyone!! Danny came when he said he would, looked at my dishwasher and said that the piece of rubber coming off was just noise canceling and took it off for me. He checked the dishwasher to make sure it ran okay before he left. Best part was that he said because it was so minor, that he would not charge me! Something that you never hear anymore; that’s for sure!! I will be calling him in the future and recommending highly to people I know. "

Customers say: Quick response

"I forgot the man's name but he said our stackable w/d was from the 90s and couldn't get parts, he said just get a new one. We have him 150$ cash and he left. It turns out the machine is dated 06/08. We have a picture. We'd like at least part of the 150$ returned since he was incorrect and didn't do any work except telling us we need the new appliance. We only want to pay for his transportation/mini consultation . Thank you. Jen Haftl-Howard 302 662 1723 Please double check which company/repairman did this job. It didn't save in my phone. "

FAQs for appliance (major electric appliance) installation and replacement projects in Annapolis, MD

A pro starts by setting the units in place and connecting them to the right plumbing lines, electrical circuits, and, for the dryer, a vent. If the hookups already exist, the job is quick. When they don’t, the installer must add plumbing, outlets, or a vent run, which takes more time and increases the price, especially when the laundry area is located far from existing utilities.

You’ll need the right pros for a tight stacked setup. A natural-gas plumber handles the water lines, drain, and any gas work, while an electrician installs the circuit the dryer needs. If venting or framing changes are required, hire a general contractor to patch the drywall or adjust the framing so that everything meets code and operates safely.

Permanent models need complete plumbing, electrical, and—for dryers—vent hookups. Portable units skip most of that and can run on a standard outlet with a temporary water connection. If your home already has a code-approved hookup, you just connect the new appliances. If not, hire a licensed pro to add the lines and vent so the machines run safely and efficiently.

Relocating a hookup costs between $500 and $5,000, as it may involve installing new outlets, gas lines, vents, and drain pipes. The price increases when the new location is far from existing utilities or requires additional framing and drywall work. Have licensed professionals evaluate your layout, provide a quote for the move, and handle the installation so that every component meets code and works safely.
