"<p>This was completed over three days. Every team that came was professional, courteous, and very hard workers! The floors look amazing!</p> <p>It started with Mark, the sales rep. He told us exactly what he would recommend . There was no hard-sell...just the facts. </p> <p>The project was started on time, was completed on schedule, and we couldn't be happier with the finished product. We appreciated the literature about how to maintain the floors as well.</p> <p>We are grateful to Angie's List and to all the reports given. It made us choose Natural Stone Care with confidence. And we weren't disappointed!</p> <br />"

"Allied Outdoor Solutions installed a paver patio for us. It is awesome and they were awesome. I’m not sure if we got lucky or if all their crews are as good as ours was. Carlos, Jeremy and Javier nailed it. They worked very hard, paid attention to detail and were super nice and polite. Also, during the COVID-19 stay-at-home order, Carlos proactively communicated with us regarding delays and rescheduling, reassuring us that we would be a priority as soon as they were able to work on site again (and kept his word during a challenging time). We would definitely go with Allied Outdoor Solutions again! Lester & Merryl Carson Fort Worth, TX"

"William Jenkins came out himself and provided an estimate. He was very friendly and showed up on time. We had just returned home from the hospital after delivering our baby boy and our front/backyard was over loaded with weeds. It looked like I had grass and bushed growing everywhere. William Jenkins provided a fair estimate for a job that required 3 men and took just under 3 hours to complete. They did an AWESOME job. Not one single week in sight. Thank you William Jenkins for the prompt and awesome service you provided for my husband and I."

"I met with Paul and told him what my idea was for the remodel of my master bath. We discussed my plan and he advised me from there. From the very beginning, he told me what to expect along the way and everything went according to plan. Paul works by himself so the job took a little longer than it would have with a crew but he is a perfectionist and very talented at his trade so having the job take a little bit longer was not an issue for us. I asked him for his opinion many times along the way and I was very glad that I took his advice. When we didn't know who to use for a plumber, Paul suggested a guy that he works with often and the plumber turned out to be a great plumber with reasonable prices and one we will continue to use. When we weren't sure about who to use for the glass, he suggested someone he had worked with and again, we will continue to use them too. <br /> Paul is one of those guys with an old fashioned work ethic. He comes at the same time everyday and works hard with little to no breaks. He takes great pride in his trade and has a vast amount of knowledge in many areas of construction. <br /> If you are looking for someone to do any type of tile or masonry work…you have found your guy. Every single day that I walk into my bathroom I look at the beautiful care that went into the tile work and I thank Angie's List for helping me to find Paul Munroe. <br />"

FAQs for gravel or loose fill paving install, spread or scrape projects in Apache Junction, AZ

To calculate how much pea gravel you need for your project, multiply the length, width, and depth of the area you want to cover to find the volume in cubic feet. Then, divide that number by 27 to convert it to cubic yards to determine the amount of pea gravel you need.

A yard of pea gravel weighs about 1.3 tons or 2,600 pounds. Keep in mind that wet gravel weighs more than dry, and different types of gravel can vary in weight. For example, due to its density, river rock weighs significantly more than crushed stone and pea gravel.

The ideal depth for pea gravel depends on the type and size of your project. You'll need at least two to three inches for walkways and patios and a minimum of six inches for driveways to support heavy vehicles and prevent shifting over time. Aim for a depth of three to four inches in decorative garden beds or drainage areas.

Pea gravel is attractive, versatile, and low-maintenance. It provides excellent drainage, making it ideal for pathways, driveways, and garden beds. On the downside, its sharp texture isn't ideal for bare feet, and it can be challenging to weed or remove once installed. It can also shift underfoot without proper edging, creating an uneven surface.

Alternative landscaping materials you can use instead of pea gravel include wood chips, decomposed granite, crushed stone, pebbles, quartz, mulch, sand, and river rock. These materials offer different aesthetics, performance, and costs, so it’s important to do your research to determine which one best fits your landscape design and budget.

Many homeowners choose pea gravel because it requires minimal upkeep compared to other landscaping materials. You'll need to rake it occasionally to redistribute the stones and maintain an even surface. Pros also recommend installing weed barrier fabric beneath the gravel to prevent unwanted growth, although some weeds may still appear over time.
