Upon calling 3 other established, licensed, well reviewed contractors, I received quotes between $8,000 and $15,000 depending on equipment/brand/etc. None of the other 3 were pushy and insisted on needing to make a decision today. No slimeball used car dealer tactics. You can look up for yourself what new single stage HVAC is for a 1300 sq ft home. It's well under $23,000 and no brand or contractor can justify charging 2-3x market rate....unless that contractor is Emergency Air, apparently. When called out on the fact their pricing is insane, our sales rep started asking if the other quotes were "Builder Quality" which is made up. Go Google what "builder quality HVAC" is.
