With the system being over 5 years old, I was uncertain what it would cost me, however, the only thing better than the equipment they provide is their customer service. No cost to replace with a better system. Now that is service!"

"Standard Heating & Air Conditioning installed my furnace, central air, and hot water heater previously. I signed up for their Smart Club maintenance to have the units inspected and maintained. Earlier this year I had a no cooling issue. I was able to promptly schedule service. The issue, faulty electronic part, was repaired under warranty at no charge. Today I had my annual maintenance done. I was able to supply the air filter and humidifier pad to be used, to save on parts cost, but they will supply if I didn't already have them on hand. Both units were inspected and the humidifier pad replaced, air filter was replaced two months ago as troubleshooting for no cool issue. I was presented with the findings of the maintenance and inspection and all questions I had were answered. All costs were covered under my Smart Club membership."

I was without hot water, which was a significant emergency as it happened the day I was having 10 people for a birthday dinner in  just 8 hours. Jan was wonderful, she arranged for someone to come out the same day. This was quality, responsive professional service .

"Jim advised us on the options- which were to either repair and hope to get another winter's use from our furnace, or replace it while the weather was still mild and avoid a potential emergency situation.  We also called other contractors in the HVAC business- but they were all priced higher and didn't seem too concerned about wanting our business(2 didn't even call back).  Jim was very professional, his work was top-notch and you could tell that he cared about what he was doing.  Very knowledgeable and good follow-up to make sure we were happy.  He even provided us with all of the completed paperwork to qualify for energy tax credits.  Overall- just a great experience... since then, we have recommended Jim and his company to several relatives and friends- and they all have had the same type of experience."

"A couple of small complications arose during installation of the gas dryer (it wouldn’t fit and then some piping had to be changed). They were very punctual, flexible and responsive. I was really impressed with their level of service and professionalism. Highly recommended!"

"This company has treated me well, especially Mike Museus, who worked over a year (last summer and this spring) to find out why there was a fluid leak in my new AC unit. The leak didn't affect the cooling of my home so I wasn't concerned, but Mike was persistent, even to returning finally with an "expert" to help diagnose the problem. What they found was that the A-coil above the furnace was full of tiny pinholes. On the day this was to be replaced, Steve came before 9 a.m. to remove the defective A-Coil and install the new one. He worked on it all day, without lunch or a break, leaving shortly after 5 p.m. There was no charge, as it was still under warranty. With all that, he still took the time to explain to me why the replacement was so important: that the defective A-Coil could eventually leak enough to damage the furnace below it. Because he was using solder, I believe, to install the new part, he turned on the ceiling fan in the adjacent room to mitigate the fumes. My only complaint is that a few of my vinyl floor tiles were damaged/discolored by the soldering process. That part of the flooring has had water damage before and is missing a few tiles so, after a day of hard work, he may have attributed the damage to work done before. It's not a big deal; I just wish he'd have said something. I have to hand it to Steve, though; he was working by himself, which frequently required him to leave the furnace area to check the outdoor AC unit, then rush back to the indoor work. I think it might have been a two-person job. At least, an assistant could have facilitated some of the work done."

"The installation went fine, but a few months later the filter needed to be changed. I was told the filters would last a year or more. There was some technical thing that happened that caused the filter to kind of disintegrate. The repair person said I had obviously changed the settings that made it happen. The settings were the same as the installer put them, as a HC person I could not get up and over there to do that. I paid the service amount and later called the manager/owner to dispute the situation. We discussed it and he said there was no way the installer would have done that and I said there was no way I could have. He said he would split the service call amount, which was around $125. I have never seen a dime of the $60 plus change amount he stated. I called back and he didn't return my calls."
